I just have to say I've been a mapler since version v030 or around there but not Beta. During that time I also played another game called GunZ: The Duel it was fun and everything everyone would never say Ijji (company that owns GunZ) sucks. Unlike, ungrateful maplers and basilers that spazz on Nexon for rollbacks and unsheduled maintenances. This summer not only is maplestory still running well and has a lot of there members still here, but Nexon is still up to date and trying there best to succeed and patch hacks. Lately if any of you do play GunZ has known that thousands of players have decrased ... and barely anyone plays the game besides noobs. We should all be thankful that the game is still running , that many people play it , and that there wasn't a dramatic decrease in players. I hope that all of you see Nexon the way I do , and know that they try there best and you shouldn't say there going downhill or what not because they are successful and they do try there best to try and stop hackers that ruin the game. Make the best out of this game , report hackers , and stop the game turning into a downwards spiral. LOL im just doing this to help little kids have something to do after school and isn't a complete disaster.

How do you know how much effort they put into the game? They do NOT put much effort into catching hackers. Maplestory isn't running well. Do you really think a well run game has hiccups, server crashes, rollbacks, random d/cs, abundant d/c hacks, map crashes, duped items, scroll hacks and others? Just yesterday, 2 channels in scania crashed. Mini rollback for whoever was in those channels.

They dont try to stop hackers. Havent you notice once or twice a week dc hackers dc almost everyone in the fm. They should make better game guards.

Because my friend has contacts to many hackers that make new hacks everyday , have no lives , hack innocent people , and cause everything you've just said. Don't blame Nexon , your not in there shoes ... but you do know that the society lately is getting corrupted with the massive amount of d/cers and such.

I don't know much about it anymore since I quit but I was around for those constant night rollbacks for that one week. Annoying as hell to get rolledback as frequent as that

All these problems are there because they aren't fixing them. You don't see such serious problems in WELL RUN GAMES. Besides, the hiccups aren't caused by hackers. That's compelely nexon's fault. Nexon also has HORRIBLE customer service. Well run games don't have that either.

Psst... Nexon runs 3 major games and 2 minor games, with about a total of (at most) 30 GMs between all of them. Factor in that Maple (the largest game) has 11 servers, and yes, its very unlikely that the hacker in front of you will be caught while you're watching them. Obviously Nexon should hire more GMs, but with what they have, what can you expect?

You know why .... they set those rules? Because it ruins the game .. which obviously doesn't care to you. They tell you to not use illegal programs like hacks because they have to do extra work. It is NOT normal for a company to take months to answer your tickets. That's ridiculous. I actually know people who have open tickets over one year old. And don't talk about how "hard" it is to fix problems. It is their responsibility to fix their games' problems. If they can't, then that means they're doing a poor job. Especially such serious problems. Many of those problems are game breaking, and yet nothing is being done. Ive seen people smega their 400+ attack craven, but no punishment is given. There were plenty of people abusing scroll hacks but they don't do ANYTHING.

Well lets see, what other game can I think of that regularly adds content, and yet doesn't completely fail at it like nexon does. Well team fortress 2 comes to mind off the top of my head. Frequently updated patches to fix issues, large introductions of content for each class as well as maps and items thrown in from time to time to keep players content and coming back. Greater hacking protection then nexon would ever dream of as well. And a forum community where developers can get feedback and listen to the players. Oh and a fairly good community compared to ours. And aside from the introductory purchase of the game, it is completely free to play. I would say the payment of $20 for the game is more then made up by the massive amounts of money nexon takes in from nx so that the comparison is valid. Now explain how they can do it right, and nexon can fail so much and yet complaining that the later is a terribly managed game and company is suddenly blasphemy?

[/quote] So you're saying 40+ smegas from all the enhancements aren't enough to tell the GM's to ban someone? And if they're overloaded with tickets, it's because there's a ton of problems with their game. It's still their fault. It is the company's responsibility to provide reasonable customer service. Also, you don't see such game breaking hacks in other games because they GET PATCHED. Usually instantly when they're such serious hacks. Also, there are hackers for EVERY GAME. Do you really think people only hack on maplestory or something? Other games patch the hacks.

@thetwoabove The game is frequently and constantly updated from KMS to GMS , they got ALOT on there hands unlike WOW or Team Fortress 2. Yeah I know they have smegas of enchanced equips but how do you know that they aren't looking more detail into it? Lately I have tons of friends that said there friends got banned for hacking ... they do there work , it may not as fast as you like it but they do it. This is why you see a huge amount of rollbacks , because they can't hunt down every single equip that was scroll hacked. It's too many to count. I bet that atleast 1/40 smega-ers got banned, please understand that they are trying as best as they can.
