Dmg formula against mobs?

You know, whenever you use normal attacks, your damage does less the more monsters you hit. Eg you normally dish out 1k with triple swing on 1 monster, if u hit 2 u will do like 800 to both, etc. The only exception are combo smash, fenrir and tempest which does the full dmg to all mobs. Anyone know whats formula for: the bigger the mob you hit, the less dmg you do to each?

I remember something with is for n monsters: (100-7*n)%*normal damage. Like with 2 enemies, you have (100-14)%*damage = 86% of your normal damage. But I could be totally wrong too, this is just what I think I've read somewhere.

Hmm.. I always thought it was full damage for 1v1 and half damage for any mob.

its not half, if you hit 2mobs you are wasting dmg but if you hit more than X your hitting more than 100%(compared to 1vs1)

I guess its just in comparison to how many combos you build. For example hitting a monster one on one would give you less of a combo and therefore increasing the power of the normal attack. But when you attack a mob it is easier to build up a combo, hence making your attack stronger, meaning your initial attack should be a little weaker.

I could only assume that this is too the case so that it would be easier to reach a certain combo so that one could dish out their finisher? That's my only guess there, but it's been quite a concern for me as well.

I thought it was half of the normal swing damage and your full bonus critical damage. Seems to match fairly well with the numbers I dish out

ive been asking this question ever since arans came out... i was also wondering, does drain drain 5% of all the damage you dealt ( so in a mob of 6 and you used smash to do 10k totalling 60k) do you drain 5% of 60k? or just one hit so 5% of 10k?

each individual swing is lower than your max obviously but if you were to add up the damage that each monster received, it it higher than your max damage. for example, my range is around 3.7k so my triple swing is maxed at 13k on a single monster. if i were to mob two monsters instead, it could add up to slightly higher than 13k (like each monster receiving 7k). 3 monster mob would be like 4.6k per monster. i think the rough formula is the total damage is 10% higher than your max. or i could be entirely wrong but im just speaking from experience
