So people think they should get "shot after they come over"? What are you smokin? Here is the reasons why mexicans come to the U.S. 1. They are poor 2. There are jobs in america 3. The average mexican pay is $4 a day (source, my geography book) 4. Many people in mexico hear that there is a better life in america Why do they cross illegaly? Why dont they just become american citizens? Good question, but here is why they dont do that 1. It costs 1.5 million dollars to become a U.S. citizen within a year 2. It is possible to become a U.S. citizen for free, but you must be on a waiting list, and it can take years to become an american, not to mention lots of paperwork and tests That is why mexicans come to america. and as for you ppl that say "why cant they stay in their own country?" Well, how about this Let us say, you are living in mexico, you are filthy poor, starving, and hungry. Lets say that you hear that 100 miles away, across the border, there is a better life where people can eat all they can eat. The thing is, it costs a milliion buckaroos to become a full american. Just waiting for a way to fix this problem." building things doesnt effect the economy. . . unless youre talking about paying the workers in which case it does. but that brings up a new topic. have you ever seen the difference between a construction group with mexican guys and a construction group with white guys? let me tell you, i have and they use twice as many people as the white guys do (granted at a slightly cheaper price but the number of people youre paying adds up quickly). the two groups are about equally efficient when it comes to completing the job. so, if youre building a brick wall, and you get three white guys to do it and youre paying them each 9 bucks an hour (this is purely speculation im just pulling numbers out) and they can do the job in say, a whole day's worth of work, so about 9-10 hours (there again just reference figures they might not be true). On the other hand you have 8 mexican day laborers and youre paying them 4 dollars an hour to do the same job in 7-8 hours. so: 3white guys x 9 bucks an hour x 9 hours is 243 dollars. 8day laborers x 5 dollars times 7 hours equals 280 dollars. See? it all adds up. keep in mind though that in some cases it may be cheaper. im just generalizing

These people are desperate and want to save their families, i doubt our welfare even pops into their minds, selfish i know but when you havnt been allowed a real life yet im sure you would be pretty synical to the rest of the world, as well as selfish. Im pretty sure if you were in their situation you would do the same, remember that even when they get into america there lives arnt that great anyway so its not like they are taking your money and living some amazing life, normally they are exploited and live in groups in flats etc and only live marginaly better than they did before.

wow, thats just greedy, you want the jobs so you can get your own game console when people are workin their butts off just to support their loved ones? i think its good that mexicans can cross over but i just wish they wouldn't spread diseases (not all but just the few that have it) i'm with you on this, steriotyping is so pointless plus, the more workers we have, the more businesses will be made economy will go higher

Plus most of them drive big trucks. They waste gas. They cause inflation. I would have to say though to tell them to go back. Not to a certain group but THERE's TOO MANY OF YOU GUYS. And to you guys who are gonna tell me," What if your race is becomes larger and larger? Are you gonna move out?" Well, I came here legally, my mom had to wait; and we're living a happy life. I want you mexicans to live a happy life as well. Just cut down people who are going to be happy and jump the border in 1/100 and we'll have an alright population. Screw it.
