2 lined potential and 3 lined potential

i don't know how this works, but if my potentialed item is 2 lined and i cube it, will it ALWAYS stay 2 lined? or will it change to 3 lined? O_O

On some KMST forums that I visit, they did a test with cubing (since theyre so cheap in KMST). They used about 200 cubes on various 2 lined weapons, and the lines changed to 3 on only about 4-5 of those times. So pretty much the lines CAN upgrade, but the chance of it happening is so slim that most people just think of it being impossible.

ive had the coincidence that the 70% pot. scrolls i have used have given me 3 lined stats while the 90%s have given me 2 lines
