i just relised that evans without the skillbook can only get lvl5 magic guard, and i dont have any nx atm and im not getting any nx in the future. do u think i should continue my lvl 19 evan in scania?

You'll have a difficult time training and bossing (If you plan on going that far) without Magic guard. Unless you can do surveys or MTS some NX, I would recommend going to a character that doesn't require NX.

Unless you plan to scroll uber HP equips to prevent ever needing magic guard...No, I'd say make an adventurer.

If you like to play for fun and you want to be an evan, then DO IT. It doesnt matter if you dont have nx. I will tell you being an Evan will be tough with such a low level of magic guard. Gotta watch your health a lot, it will go down fast. You can do it =) If you want to be serious and get really good, and do all that pro stuff, then i would definately suggest a different character. Magic guard is quite an important part of magicians as they dont have much hp. In Whatever you choose, good luck =) + may the force be with you! xD

I just BARELY managed to get all my skill books by doing surveys, and it took FOREVER... I almost quit multiple times before because I thought I would never be able to acquire all the skill books, but managed to get lucky with the surveys and I'm LOVING Evans so far. If it's a job that appeals to you, go for it all the way and don't give up, if it's unachievable no matter the effort you put forth, then save yourself some time and frustration and play something else like d33b33 said above. Good Luck! *Edit: If you can get magic guard you will be able to get to the mid 60 range without any problems, but your damage after that point is really going to be gimped without maxed critical magic and magic booster. It's possible to continue without them but I don't think you would find it effective/enjoyable.

Honestly, if you're planning to go far like me, u HAVE to have magic gaurd. Right now im training at kents and they can deal 1k/1.2k dmg on me (im lvl 71) and i have 1.4k HP. It will not be fun

i merchanted and then bought nx with mesos for my books..... its not worth it to only get magic guard, come on its only like 7k nx or something

I started my Evan about 2 weeks ago and did some surveys and got MG and just turned 58 today. I'm planning to go farther and getting the last 2 skill books by doing more surveys. (Evan has been pretty fun so far)

without magic guard you won't make it if u go to skeles at 115 as a side platform taker just quaking the low spawn platform u will die in 1 shot at 83 when i went to gallos i'd die in 1 shot without magic guard if i touch them

If you don't get magic guard you might as well quit. You don't even need the other books you just need MG and you'll be fine.
