I don't mean just posting your favorite song over and over; go to the chat section for that. How many instruments do you play? For how long? In any groups? Performed anywhere special? Composed anything lately? Etc. So, anyone have any input. (p.s. I locked the older one, and decided to make it again. :P)

I play the bass both guitar and the double bass, piano, and guitar. I've been playing them since I was 13 but before that I played cello in my school's orchestra and it was there that my friend taught me how to read music and stuff. Around 15 I started getting piano lessons but I stopped a few weeks ago to do other stuff. I never perform anywhere other than school stuff and I don't really compose things, I kinda just mess around with chords and stuff and try to piece things together. I am the section leader for my schools drumline, I play the Tuba, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, and Trumpet. I have been play trumpet and tuba for a few months now, guitar for 2 years, bass guitar for almost a year now, and been doing drums for 3 years. I am writing my audition piece for next year (I am in 8th grade), but that's about it.

Cool! Hm. How far did you end up getting on piano? Mhm. Me neither, but maybe I'll do a little more outside of school next year. :P Woah! That's a lot of instruments for grade 8! Cool, what are you auditioning for? On what instrument? Turntable? :O Ive never known anyone who's played that! Is it fun? I've always wanted to play a sting instrument, (well, piano doesn't count in context to that statement) how long have you been playing? I've played piano for about.... 8 or 9 years now, but Im only going into grade 7 piano. >.< And I've played the alto saxophone for four years. I started to learn the accordion around Christmas time, but I haven't played it in forever.

Oh really? That's cool! I've never been to Nationals. T_T Canada, right? What level did your band play? I'm more comfortable playing solo piano. If I had to play piano in band I wouldn't like it. On the other hand, I'm also a little uncomfortable soling with the saxophone, which is something I have to work on. :P

Piano 8 years (quit because I was forced to play and never enjoyed it. All classical, no Jazz which was what I really wanted to play.) Saxophone 9 or 10 years. 1st chair Frosh and Soph year and got moved to top band Junior and Senior year. Junior year I was last chair (with Seniors who were amazing. o-o). I will be 2nd chair this year though. :D I do marching band on the alto saxophone too though it's mandatory and not my style of music. I LOVE slow and beautiful tunes with a lot of room for me to use vibrato. <3 (yes I love vibrato and show mine off every chance I get... sure impressed my freshman director. O-o) I can't play jazz which is a shame... blame my parents again. My biggest regret? Not choosing to play the viola.

But the Band Director at that school is a real hard ass, so I doubt I will get it.

Just my preference though. Me too! I don't like songs with gross accents and triple fs. Have you played vocalize? I played it for an audition. It was a little easy, but it was a good song to show off tone, expression. Etc. You've played sax for 9 years? :O Why the poop arent you first chair, then? I suppose it's age bias? Or has everyone else around your area played that long too?
