Hey so theres this girl in my grade (sophomore) and I never had any class with her, but I see her around a lot in the hallways. I liked her for some time now and I could tell by the she looks at me she likes me too. When we pass by in the hallways we always have this high-five/ handshake thing, not the the guy version though. The problem is this is a new year and we have this one world history class together where all the students are together. I don' know what to say to her other then "hey how was class?" I have many "girl" friends, but somehow I can't think of anything else to say to her. And yes, I tried asking my "girl" friends and even tried to say some of the things I usually say to her and usually leads to no where.

If you have a hard time talking to her even before you guys have hung out, then I don't think it's gonna be a good idea.

Try start a conversation, I would always ask her how was class first. Then go from there.

Talk about anything. Girls talk more than they sleep and eat. I can seriously talk to my "girl" friend about socks for two hours. Once you get that going, ask her to hang out. Start slow, don't push it.

How do you suppose it is easier for someone to talk to a girl BEFORE the two of them hang out and develop a well-fledged relationship? Relationships take time and it makes NO SENSE to say that it would be easier to be with a girl before a relationship than after it has begun and has developed. Idiocy.

I'm just giving him a heads up on the awkward situations he might have with her. I had the same situation he did a year or two ago. We liked each other but our dates were quite awkward and we just decided to end it.

You really just have to make sure you catch her at a good time. Don't talk too much about yourself because girls love to talk about themselves just add in little comments here and there. If she doesnt strike up conversation then thats kinda awkward bro but you could like lead into something like... How's life dont ask abuot the class.... go with somethign more general its easy for her to say its good to a class but maybe she'll have something more to say about her "life" if she says something thts like frustrating her be like ahh im sorry well ill be here if you wanna talk if she says everything is good then she's in a pretty good mood... now from there be like hey i was wondering if you wanted to go to a movie this weekend you and some of your friends and me and some of mine (Group dates are the thing to do in high school if your just meeting someone so tell her to ask a friend or 2 to come and you bring a friend or two and you all go to a movie but you 2 sit next to eachother or something of that sort)<< It's usually better to do this until you are very comfortable with her then....BOOM goes the dynamite first date marriage children.

[/quote] Thanks im gona try this when I see her next time. But there is one thing I'm worried about. Several guys have asked her out before and they all got rejected. So that's kind of a bad mind set. Plus, she is pretty shy. And, no i actually don't play maple for fun on a regular basis. I only played it cause this summer was kind of slow and my friends were all traveling.
