I see lots of threads on here and people talking about how they want to know the "fastest" way to reach _____ level. This leads me to wonder what people want from this game; the urgency to reach a higher level "fast" seems like it kind of defeats the purpose of a game. Setting goals to gain many levels in a short amount of time sets people up well....Work! You need to work to meet you goals; and if you don't meet said goals often it creates stress or disappointment amongst some players. Do you play to level? Or play to play? When i come on maple it's invariably because i'm seeking some down time and just looking to relax; often training a few hours can be quite soothing; with the right playlist. But this is all done on a "play as i feel like it" basis and not a "AMFG MUST HIT LEVEL 200 BY SEPTEMBER 10th!" Now the obvious response to this thread will be "I want to experience higher leveled content so I want to level up asap". But if this is your first high level character then perhaps (just a suggestion) you should enjoy the journey. If you take 2 Months to hit 120 as opposed to 2 weeks it's not like you will be at any disadvantage when it comes to participating in higher leveled content/bosses ect. If anything the longer you spend on your character the greater appreciation you might have for it. Also there isn't as much high level content as people think; there's CWKPQ (fun every once in a while), zak (good for a few runs meh), scarlion (Good for the hat....That's about it), Targa (not killed often, similar to scarlion only 8k magic damage), Horntail (surrounded by drama in most servers (dc hackers) and nearly impossible for Vista/Win7 users). Oh and fewer training maps. You really aren't missing too much. My philosophy when it comes to maple (and life) is that when you take things day by day with a sense of leisure you are more likely to enjoy yourself. Maple isn't a contest or a race; so there is no reason to rush. As long as you can have fun with your character; make friends and all that good stuff then you're doing alright. It's also worth mentioning that many of the level 200's you see today have been playing for many years; Their greatness isn't the result of a 3 month session consisting of fast food; sleep deprivation and lack of social contact. But rather progressing over time. Take it easy basil. Edit: I`m fully aware that the fact that the fact that i am a level 148 blade lord may make me seem like a hypocrite. However this was made at what I considered (for me) to be a leisurely pace. It was easy, it was quick, it was FUN! I trained at my own pace. I never "needed" to train. I had a lot of time because it was summer so why not spend a few hours a day on something i enjoyed? In the past over a 2 year period i made a bishop (got to level 130); my pride and Joy BartWest purely on 1x. And it was glorious. I have been playing for nearly 5 years now and forgive me if I moved quickly while 7.2x was available on a class that was BUILT for trai

love it man, good post, but yes some people do play just to get fun skills, i personally started this archer april, before fourth anniversary, and it has been a very fun journey to 101, i've met a ton of friends and just had some fun parties in lmpq and kpq, met some good people, i even met a whole family that played maple, wife, husband and daughter, all great friendly people but yes i enjoy the the journey more then the end, sadly at my lvl not many useful pq's exist, and i cant train in a party until 105, so im in a bit of a slump in terms of social training :/

MissTheoLet's be blunt: this game is boring until you get more skills. Flashier skills and flashier damage is more of a motivation than what other game features MS offers. :/

Maple is a race, to some extent. Nexon puts up level-up events, and you get a reward for getting to that certain level. For example, the Dual blade mask event, Lilin Rings, and the list goes on.

And for the lilin's ring 3 Months for a level 70 aran is very reasonable if you ask me. There's no shame in playing a job but not getting the event item. Plenty of heroes play without lunch boxes =) (best sword available for heroes)
