What is gamebooster?

How does it work? What is it? I lag SOOO much when recording with fraps, so someone in my alliance reccomended it. o.o

It closes all unnecessary programs that hinder your performance. Such as if you ran MapleStory and a P2P program at the same time, it would lag more. Gamebooster temporarily shuts down the programs other than your game and whatever programs you want.

I've been using it for the past few months, it seems safe. It's only really worth downloading if you have a computer with bad hardware.

It closes programs useless for you, and also helps make your computer less laggy.

idk about anyone else, but it helped me stop d/cing from windows 7 (or d/cing a lot less)

I use it sometimes when I'm running 2 games on my PC. It's free and it's safe, so I recommend you use it if you need it. It makes your pc faster when playing by temporarily closing all useless programs that you don't use while playing, but that eat up your pc's memory.

GameBooster is a program that will DISABLE SERVICES such as your Spooler, Telephony, Visual Aids (tooltips) and things of that nature. Yes, it may close a FEW PROGRAMS, but it doesn't directly target P2P and applications of that sort. I will personally vouch for GB seeing as I used it when I would go on Zak runs.

like what SerratedSickle and deraykhel said, closes all unnecessary programs you'd be surprised how many things your computer is running while you play MS it also gives you the option to defrag the game of your choice, which makes it run a lot smoother gamebooster is from iObit, and its extremely simple to use open it up, and press "switch to gaming mode", and the first time you use it, it will give you a list of programs it says isnt necessary, either click all or leave the few you want to continue running (like i left msn) i also suggest using Advanced Systemcare again, extremely simple to use, and what that does is scan your entire computer for spyware to remove, registry fix which cleans up the registry to improve the PC's performance (reading off of it cause i have horrible memory btw), privacy sweep which erases your internet history and cache (careful, in case you dont want to erase your history), and junk files clean which speaks for itself all of that was is in the 'maintain windows' tab, go to 'diagnose system' for a few more things: system optimization (i wouldn't really recommend this little part because these you actually notice), security defense to prevent spyware from being installed, disk defragment, which defrags your ENTIRE hard disk to improve the performance, and security analyzer which "scans windows system to find hijacked settings". check or uncheck whichever ones you want to do. both are free (choose free or $20 version for Advanced Systemcare) and it REALLY helped with my not piece of un-crap computer ^^ sorry for the long note btw~ ^^;;
