Why exactly is low-str better than reg str?

| It simply doesn't make sense... Everyone says low-str is better, but say you have 500 base dex, 100 dex in equips, and 130 base str.(reg-str, I'm using easy numbers) Compare that to having 600 base dex, 100 str in equips, and 30 base str. Simplify and both builds have 600 dex and 130 str. So why do people say that low-str is better? note:this is the same for every job, I don't get it. |

| Because Helmets, Overalls, Shoes, Pendants, Rings, Glasses, and Belts often add both Str and Dex by default. Maker also adds the option of both Str and Dex being added to our Overalls and Shoes (most commonly maker'd end-game items), so why not capitalize on both? Also, though it's drawn far out of proportion with reality, a lower Base Str helps Maple Warrior slightly. |

| So I am going to go reg-str on my wild hunter, and I have a db with a ton of common job dex equips. I really don't wanna buy str equips cuz I'm moderately funded and it's a pain. Like, kevvl said, when I get str from those common equips that I get my dex from, would my dmg still be the same if I cap my str as low as possible? So I'd be using the concept of low-str but I'd have dex equips instead. |

Also note: Bowman Gear aside from our Bows doesn't require Str. I can wear a Reverse Overall (if I had one..) with 4 Str. |

Same thing as low-str but I have too much base str too be considered low-str. |

| Str less will be better with the lev 127 statless weps especially with dex potential equips, because 3% of a bigger dex pool = more dex |

[/quote] It depends. A Dexless Craven user would be a Sin with 25 base dex, and enough dex in equips to wear a Craven. Stat-less always means your base sub-stat is the absolute minimum, regardless of stats added by equips. If they were classed as low-stat and not stat-less, then there'd be pretty much no stat-less classes at all, because pretty much everyone has an equip or two that adds at least +1 to their sub-stats, whether or not they need it. |
