THIS FREAKING NON STOP CONSTANT DC IS PISSING ME OFF what can i do to solve my problems i upgraded to windows 7 ultimate from windows xp the second i did that bam dc bam dc bam dc oh hey you wanna log off and change accounts or characters? bam dc ARE YOU SERIOUS WHAT THE FREAKING FUDGE i heard that theres a program for windows 7 users thats basically a virtual machine (i think) and its like windows xp so you can run everything inside of it on windows xp so would i be able to play ms fine if i got that? Also dont say run in windows xp service pack 2 or 3 cause it didnt work -.-

7/16th of an inch. Thats how far you have to move your pinky to the caps lock button. TURN IT OFF. OT: Problems with Disconnecting on windows vista/7 is a known issue. You'll just have to sit back and be cool about it until Nexon fix it. Or just log a ticket.

You can use VMware or Virtual Box to run a virtual machine with Windows XP on it if your comp has about 1GB of RAM. Otherwise you'll lag too much.

Lol vista has been out forever and it still dc's nexon will do absolutely nothing ever if i want it fixed i have todo it myself @ above i have exactly 1 gig of ram how would i make it windows xp though? and how does it work? o.0

Well if you have just 1gb ram your ram is full because i tought vista/windows7 takes over 1or more of your ram and ms is like 300-700mb ram? so you need a 2gb ram or higher to play ms on vista/windows 7 ( i think)

I believe the changes from Xp to Window 7 to play MS was a dumb move, seeing as how Window 7 is still new to the gaming world and not many have upgraded their compatibility. Window Vista (I'm on my comptuer) still dc but not a lot. My laptop (Window7 Premium) runs Maplestory almost perfectly except for DC on bosses. You can always try to downgrade it again to Window 7 Premium or even back to XP (imo, thinks you illegally upgraded to window7 ultimate) or wait for time to pass and Nexon fix this error. Don't know about the virtual machine function and I've only came across that for MAC/Apples. Edit: If you have 1 gb ram you have too little for Window 7 + MS. 1Gb of ram will kill you if you're on Window Vista. Vista needs at least 2gb to have the same lag as Windwo XP on 526mb (or something). 1GB ram doesn't always mean you got 1gb, as the bytes are lowered. For example I bought a 1TB external Harddrive, this should be 1000Gb, but I got only 900gb.

Maplestory is not fully compatible with Windows 7/vista... A lot of us have problems with this while bossing or even changing channels. there is a petition about this on the Nexon forum. sign it if u keep having those problems :D http://forum.nexon.net/MapleStory/forums/1/5487915/ShowThread.aspx

Vista is version 6.9, which makes windows 7 version se-... You probably figured it out by now. Nexon is not held responsible if you can't play it on your computer. There is already over a thousand threads on the internet about this exact problem on the internet. Just type in your problem in google and you'll get a bunch of links to people with the same problem and how to get rid of it. Might take some time. And i highly recomend you to not use windows xP in virtual mode on your windows 7. Sharing 1GB of RAM with 2 operating systems is not a good idea. It will probably freeze after a while when the processes are too many.

I did upgrade illigally lol but i only did it cause windows xp sucked i was always getting crashes and having to reformat and reinstall it and it was sooo sloowww now its so much faster i really dont wanna have a slow computer just to play ms with no dc's -.- my comp hasnt crashed once or lagged once (aside from ms) since i upgraded theres no way in hell im going back to xp just for ms lol there has to be a fix!

[/quote] *Ahem*, not to stick my nose in or anything but your barking up the wrong tree with that explanation. The reason you lost that 100 Gb's, is because you didn't technically buy a full 1 TB hard drive. Marketer's play a nasty trick where although they can technically write 1TB, it's not quite. [Instead of 1024 bytes, it's 1000 to a Mb. Meaning by the time you get close to 1TB of space, that's 100 Gb's down the drain.] The reason you don't have full access to your 1GB of RAM is entirely different however it's all to do with how your computer access the memory. It needs that memory that it reserves in order to be able to access the rest of your RAM. [I could explain it in more detail, but it's far more than you should ever need to know, and I'm probably already boring you]. Shortened version: No, RAM is not measured in the same way as harddrive, and unlike harddrives, 1 GB literally means 1024 MB's instead of 1000 MB's. Your computer needs that memory in order to work. Also: Win 7's Virtual Machine isn't all that great, go use VirtualBox it's far better. Vista was never popular, 7 might make them move faster though. Also, easy answer... magic!~ Anways: If you have your XP disc lying around, it'd honestly be better to Dual Boot it. I should know, I'm running XP x64, 7 x64 and Ubuntu x64. It's so much easier, you loose so much power when you use things like VMWare. yeah, dual boot it, partition your harddrive and reinstall xp on your partioned hd. run XP for ms, run win 7 for other things.

Dude im on BASIL RIGHT Frggn Now because i keep getting dc/d im also on vista and though people are saying "maples not fully compatible" ... i get you because it has been and i never dc/d i could leave it one for days... ever since the DB patch i was getting a couple here and there now that this alien thing came out its like everytime i change channel...specially ch10 where i was soloing BF..-_-" .....it was fine, now it is nexon who's fvking up.

My brother has no problems running multiple programs (including multiple maples) on his computer. It's windows 7 and he's not using any kind of virtual windows xp. He has like 6gb ram. So I think maple and windows 7 dc a lot cause of the low ram you have. I'm pretty sure maple takes more ram (or something of the sort) when run on windows 7 and vista.
