It seems Nexon is encouraging us to play for 5+ hours with this event despite sending those warning messages every hour. I might downgrade one of my comps to XP just so I don't get randomly D/Ced while I afk >.> This seems like an interesting event, I wonder how this works with ultima spamming. 369 Event (9/1 ~ 9/28) � For each hour you log in a bonus EXP is awarded for every 3rd monster killed. 1~2 = 30% bonus 2~3 = 100% bonus 3~4 = 150% bonus 4~5 = 180% bonus 5 + = 200% bonus Source: http://maplestory.nexon.net/News/News.aspx?boardNo=100&contentNo=008ni&pageIndex=1 (Official Site) [quote] HoboLover : 200% exp means x4 exp right? [/quote] I think it is actually 3x exp now that I think about it. You get 200% bonus exp from the monster you just killed. So if a monster gives 100 exp, 200% of 100 = 200 exp + the original 100 exp for killing the monster = 300 exp. Also not sure if this works on bosses.

I think it's even funnier that they wait until school starts to do this. A lot of bad grades this semester followed by a lot of groundings I bet! And I'm not sure why they'd encourage AFKers that'll just increase the server load, especially after the whole Scania incident... gonna be a lot of lag I bet. And this is for every 3rd monster. It's going to average out at about 1.66x EXP. That's less than the EXP boost we currently get from the ring mules that'll be expiring.

[/quote] i'm not complaining, any boost in exp gain is welcomed especially if it is free. I refuse to train/grind without some form of exp boost (whether it be rep, 2x card, event, or whatever), 1x exp is excruciatingly slow.

[/quote] Here's an example of the 200% bonus: I kill a snail and get 3 exp, I kill a snail and get 3 exp, I kill a snail and get 9 exp, I kill a snail and get 3 exp. Every for every 3rd kill, you get 3x EXP.

its probably just an event so they get people to grind and buy double exp coupons. and people could afk for 5 hours and go on for the next four hours and grind after meaning 200% + double exp for four hours.
