Spend $200 or Quit?

So I am wanting to fund my NL again. I have probably put about 700-800 dollars into this game in the past 4 years (200 dollars a year on average) Unfortunately, I have no idea where it has all gone, lol... I guess that selling everything I have to fund another character, but first having to spend NX on buying that new character hair, eyes, and most of the time a new clothes set, my NX has just been slowly decreasing. At one point in time I think I had 5 different cash shop outfits, and 7 different characters all with NX hair and eyes. I am terrible when it comes to managing money on Maplestory. As you can probably tell from the paragraph above. So at the moment all I have in terms of equipment is a MoN, a 10 dex bathrobe, and my 4th job medal. I calculated about how much it would take for me to buy all my armor, and if I were to MTS-buy it all (Deme doesn't have a good FM) it would cost me about 200 dollars. At the same time though, I think... Why the hell would I spend 200 dollars on this stupid game just to be an "OKAY" NL. That is ridiculous. But on the other hand, I am like, "Hell ya I cant wait till I can fund my NL again, I really wanna play it again and KS (name censored) at Anego" (long story) Life is slowly getting better for me though. I have recently gotten my driver's license (finally, at 18 years old haha) Just been too lazy to get it all this time, but I finally got it. And another thing is my best friend who used to game with me A LOT just moved back into town. He moved away about 3 years ago, but now he's back. He used to play on a Bishop back in the day, and he quit the game due to it being too expensive. (Kinda ironic huh, right where I am now) Him and I played RuneScape whenever we got bored of Maple, so that is where he went, until he found a life and quit games altogether. If I were to quit Maplestory, I would go to RuneScape, seeing as I have been a RS player since Summer 2002. I kind of view it as my "home game" It feels good when I play it, I don't know why. But then I think, "Well I just got my license, I can go get a job, and I can pay for my NX needs." But then its like... "Why would I do that, cuz then I might be getting a lot of money, but then I would have a job, and college, and I probably wouldn't have too much time to play." Tbh, I hate maplestory. But I am addicted to NX. It is retarded. The ONLY thing I like in Maplestory, is bossing, and KSing (name censored) But then again, if any of you remember my "How I killed my MapleStory" thread, about me backstabbing my best friends in-game and losing everything. I am still sort of in that situation. I have most of my friends back, but my guild leader still doesn't think very fondly of me. So even if I got all good again, and started up my NL again, it wouldn't matter because I would have nowhere to go. That sucks, I would probably just quit. In my opinion, Nexon isn't worth spending 200 dollars on. With the quality of service they give us, I would never do it.

you do have bad money management as you mentioned. you spent about $800 in the game and your highest is only lv.123... And you want to spend more money to fix the character... I guess you should spend that money.

Try going for as low end of equips you can get? If you're dexless just get like a 200m skanda / Night raven claw, 20 luk robe, and some dex shoes & earrings Those shouldn't be much over 80k but you'd probably be below average

im 11 (shhhh dont tell anyone lol) i use to play runescape before maple too, if a choice is go play rune, go play rune, dont waste that kind of money on nexon, its a waste

Why not merch. >.< Spending 200 dollars on a game to see your pixel numbers go higher isn't worth it.
