The beeping can mean many things. Did you troubleshoot at the manufacturer's website yet? Sometimes the online manual or FAQ will describe what error beeps symbolize.

BobRIf it's overheating, that could be causing the beeps (a temperature alarm) and the freezes. You have to fix that before you can worry about much else. Did you check all the vents on the computer with a strong flashlight..? You're looking for dust buildup, or worse yet clumps of dust that can block the air that's supposed to cool the computer. If you see any clumps, try using a long thin tweezeers if you have any to pull the clumps out. Most people recommend using compressed air in a can, but that can just drive the dust deeper inside the computer and make it worse. Seriously thought, if the overheating is the cause of the beeping and freezing, you really should have it inspected by a repair shop that is equipped to open it safely and can clean it out for you.

what kind of laptop is it to start? depending on the brand it might be easy to open up, if its not, I would recommend you take the laptop to a computer shop and pay the professionals to take it apart and clean it
