Does my Alienware has BSoD?

So everytime I turn on my Alienware m9700i - R1 series, it just boots up to a black screen. When I hook it up onto my monitor it blinks an underscore line (_). Idk if it's the hard drive or battery. So can someone please tell me how to fix it since Geek Squad is most likely gunna be chargin them expensive repairs.

I've had that problem before. I fixed it, but i don't remember how. Sorry. Don't go to Geek Squad. I can't even imagine how much they would charge you. Honestly, they charge like $80 to set up your WII.
