What do i need for soccer?

This is my first year being in soccer, and I was wondering what kind of equipment i will need. I'm a guy.

first poster pretty much said everything you need for cleats, it can vary by which position you play or on which surface you'll play. you can get off pitch cleats for practice sessions before the season

And if you intend to purchase cleats, be aware that there are various types of studs in cleats. • Firm Ground Shoes (FG) • Soft Ground Shoes (SG) • Hard Ground Shoes (HG) I'm assuming you play at a middle/high school level, so you should wear FG cleats. (Just don't buy any metal-studded cleats like SG)

Don't be the idiot that comes to soccer with baggy basketball shorts or jeans or sweatpants or khaki shorts. (lol 3 ors) Get some atheltic shorts, they need to be above your knees. You won't be that cold, because your socks come up to your shin guards or so.
