i think a unique item sounds better. and on Word, it's not incorrect. but nexon fails at math, grammar, spelling, and updating Maple's servers, so what did you expect?

It is an exception, most words that start off with the long vowel sound U, you would use "a" instead of "an". At least that's what my grade 4,5,6,7,8 and 9 teacher told me. And "unique" shouldn't be capitalized.
