| I think that the developers did a really good job of balancing the classes and creating dependency. Sorry, no epic thread this time, just an I'm-bored thread regarding two of my favorite classes. I thought I'd share with you some easy-to-find findings of mine. Bowmasters deal 180,000% damage per minute with hurricane, in a perfect world. In any world, a Marksman with SI and without using snipe deals 166,725% damage per minute with Ultimate Strafe.
Everybody : Man straf can' even do anything compare to hurricane so good even better bossing skill for bowmawster
Sorry if I stereotyped a bit. I love archers, and I can't stand to see them being so ignorant. A Bowmaster's 180,000% damage per minute is greater than a Marksman's 166,725% damage per minute. But, think of this: - If a marksman is hit by an attack, s/he has no startup time to worry about. They can keep attacking. - Snipe is an excellent skill, and boss defense has no effect on it. And the above data doesn't include snipe. - Marksmen rely on Speed Infusion to have this sort of damage. Bowmasters, consider this: - You needn't rely on Speed Infusion to deal epic DPM - If you're hit, you have to worry about start-up time - If you're in a party with (a) shadower/(s), you will deal your full 180,000% damage per minute as long as smoke pellet is on, minus potting time. Since Pierce can't OHKO everything it hits, it's not exactly the perfect mobbing skill. But, Marksmen can freeze, and it's not like an Iron Arrow or two won't finish off those first two. Or, just DB them into another mob and go at it again. Hurricane functions well as both a mob skill and a single-target skill. I don't know about you, but I'm pleased with the Big Bang for the Archer class. |

| I don't see any good, YET. Seeing that Pierce has charge time and hurricane can kill oblivion in 2 or 3 potentialed arrows. |

|
jayxsin : Good job on math. I'm planning on making a hunter after the db patch ends. Should I go FA build? Since that one guy says it is going to stack up with hurricane is that true?
You don't want it until the BB. So just stick with a normal build until the BB comes, they'll give us a reset. Then get FA, because yes, it stacks.
iSmashBugs : you forgot that hurricane was changed to doublecane, and i dont think you included FA. doing doulbecane without Fa is like US spam without snipe.
I did include FA, and hurricane isn't doublecane. It's 1.4*8.333333cane. Which is 11.6666666cane. And 200 of the 700 arrows per minute are 250% damage instead of 200%, which I also factored in. |

| MM's do deserve to be equal to BM's, as long as they don't make BM's worse. |

| they wont make bms worse jus makes em almost exactly the same, in the end choosing which to play will only come down to playing style. |

"This" being what I made this thread about - how they are after the Big Bang. Bowmasters can beast if they're in a party with one or more shadowers - the more, the better. Marksmen, with SI, can come close to Bowmaster %PM without using snipe, if the Bowmaster is in a party with shadowers. And the Bowmaster also has to worry about Hurricane start-up time every time they're attacked, whereas Marksmen aren't interrupted. Their DPM should be close to equal. |

| as a mob skill though, Hurricane is inferior to marksmen's mobbing skills, especially pierce. Pierce is more practical and more suitable for mobs. Marksmen have a much easier time to handle these mobs, especially with their freezing skills. I think the balance is perfect between both of them. Bowman = fast, advantage at 1v1 Crossbowman = slower, advantage at mobs |

So they've made MMs and BMs pretty much head-to-head in terms of DPM, depending on the situation. And a lot of bowmasters I've talked to are perfectly content with Hurricane as both a bossing and a mobbing skill. Don't forget that AR/AE is getting buffed to 300/400% against 10 enemies. That's pretty handsome. I daresay that pierce isn't going to be the only king of the mob skills. |

| Well, you can imagine that it'd be fun. Getting a large group organized to take something down... It strikes the nerdboy side of me as incredibly fun. I've never been on a major boss run either, so I can't really take the trophy. But I can tell you that people love bossing. That's why you don't see a lot of F/P mages. (Yet.) |
IMO, Nexon should really add more bosses. It'll be a lot more fun to others player, not only to the high levels boss but low levels as well so people who aren't past level 120 can boss for fun. It'll be a great experience, also the fact that you can do something fun with your friends. Take away the boredom on maple. I would want them to have a type of PQ that also allows you to solo, so there will be two type of PQ. A solo one and a party one. Such as like the Agent PQ in the past. I really enjoyed that =) And the Mu Lung Dojo I supposed, but usually I like it if it's just one boss that you'd have to solo. |

| just felt like pointing this out, cause i like pointing it out to everyone: there is no such thing as start up time on hurricane. trust me. arrows fly out before the animation hits, and on other people's screens they see packs of 8 arrows hitting at once. |

|
Russisch : I counted 40% FA at 250% damage, speed infusion, and... um. Yeah. Criticals, since they're multiplicative, don't matter for percentages. I didn't count snipe, because that isn't percentage-based. I took the weapon multipliers out of the damage ranges of either bowman class and applied them to the skill damage. That way, the archers would have an equal damage range with different skill percentages, to accurately display the power differences between the class without involving damage. Bow - 1.20. Crossbow - 1.35. I used 200% damage for ultimate strafe and hurricane, applied FA and separated which percentages per arrow were FA and which were not, and I applied Speed Infusion. (95*1200+38*250)*1.35 Result: 166725 (200*500+250*200)*1.2 Result: 180000 Speed Infusion means a 630 millisecond delay on Ultimate Strafe, instead of 720. You can see how nerdy I get when I'm bored.
I'm sorry to inform you but, FA is 150% damage not 250%, so MM wins: (95*1200+38*150)*1.35 Result: 161595 GODLY (500*200+200*150)*1.2 Result: 156000 NOOOP So you just killed your own pathetic arguments, with misinformed math. |
