Ninjenk : Co - ed swimming. How do you not get excited down there? Jk. Baseball, Basketball or football. Those have lots of running.
I was going to say swimming we have to swim 3 miles everyday, only breaks you get are if you finish before the rest of your lane does, and whenever I do that, they tell me to get back to work =( probably because then I'd get to wait while they do their last like 4 lanes in the set
Why does everyonhe think football is so hard..? It's one of the easier sports. The practices arent nearly as bad as Water Polo and Wrestling. Just time consuming.

Swimming condition is difficult. I think rowing is? But I haven't tried it.

Nothing is compared to the condition/sport of wrestling. Football is easy. Cross Country is slightly tiresome but Wrestling is the combination of the two (actively and condition-wise), while needing a large pool of stamina. Matches are only 6 minutes long but god forbid they'll be the longest 6 minutes you'll ever endure. EDIT: To those who say Football is the toughest sport, it isn't. Players aren't always playing football at any given moment. Considering the length of time during plays, there is ample rest and only a need for energy during burst of seconds. Also, football requires very little condition (compared to wrestling at least). People assume its tough because of contact, but that happens far less than people know..
he's so right. football is nothing compared to wrestling. wrestlers have to keep wait and run and work out and train. Cross country practices are really hard but it's really only running, nothing else.

In my school, Swimming, Wrestling and Cross-Country are the most time consuming, and have the most physically challenging practices. For Swimming, there is no such thing as an off season, as when you're not swimming, you're running. And when you're not running, you're lifting weights. When you're not lifting weights, you're off the team. (it's that sort of ideology). Practices for the swimmers start as 5 AM-7:30, then have afternoon practice from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. I'm not sure what they do in there, but when I do see them practice, they seem to be swimming constant endless laps. For Wrestling, every practice that they have is hell. From what I see, they start off each practice with an hour of running, push-ups, sit-ups, planks (5 min. intervals of each), and then they continue to do more stamina-building exercises. Then they do some exercises that relate to technique and such, and it's rather rigorous from what i have heard. For Cross-Country, we have to run an absolute minimum of 50 miles a [school]-week. Then we have either a invitational on saturday, or a lengthy 10-mile dirt run. Everyday, the practices start a 3 and end at 7. During that time, we do an assortment of track workouts (36 200s, 50 m. jog interval; 12 400s, 1 min rest interval; 4 mile repeats, 400 walk interval, etc) and then a road run of some sort that is a min. of 3.5 miles (depending on workout that we did). Then we do lots of cooldown and weigh training. I've only done Cross-Country out of the ones i mentioned, so i'm not 100% sure what they do, all i know is that it's difficult.
xetal : I think football is the most time consuming due to an abundance of summer crap but I think wrestling is a more tougher sport. But football is definately next
You do realize that football isn't the only sport that requires preparation, right? It depends on which school you go to. At the high school I went to, soccer took more effort/work in order to be on varsity than football did.

The sports doesn't actually matter, it depends on your coaches, and how much they wanna push you...
Mikin : I think it's football.
This made me lol. I played water polo for the first 3 years of high school, and I must say, every game was a beat down underwater. People would come out with bruises, scratches, and sometimes be bleeding. My vote goes to water polo.
