Look at stuff like this , a sad life story followed by pages of compliments from online strangers. Whether or not that post was true, it's apparent that having a deep-seated, depressing psyche gets you compliments, and some people jump on that opportunity to seem sad when they're not really sad.

Yes, I have. I am an ultra competitive person; I have to win and be in control of every situation. Why not be the controller of my own life as well? (as opposed to dying of old age or accident)

When I was about, uh, 15 or so I attempted suicide by slitting my wrists. I'm glad to say that I failed at suicide. The scars are constant reminders of my "close encounter," but I'd never consider it again.

I completely agree about the whole "being there" thing, that's meaningless over the internet and only makes positive comments seem forced. But then, people still say that kind of stuff to depressed people, others who aren't depressed read that and think "Hey, I can get positive comments too" and act depressed to follow along with that. That's why I never try to cheer people up online other than close friends, usually I'll just link a DJ Whitesmith song to relate to their feelings.

aw, i was trying to find a good movie quote about somebody saying how they'd 'do it'. i've thought about it, and kirsten dunst does it in a movie, which has influenced me... but no, i wouldn't do it. if things aren't better yet, then it's not the end. i think that's how the quote goes.

i'm just fascinated with what comes after death. i have phases where i think 'yeah, we're dead. gone', but others i go into this really deep self thought of reincarnation. then there's heaven. my idea of heaven is the perfect place when you were happiest in your life. what is confusing is that what i consider makes me happy now, may be something extremely different than something i find enlightening when i'm eighty with dementia. you know?

With the exception of the blood not stopping and you slowly bleed to death.
