League of Legends Vs. Heroes of Newearth

Which do you think is better ? :D I've played league of legends for a long time and it's really fun when you get used to it. I've heard of HoN and how they're both similar but have never really tried it so I can't criticize. which do you prefer? EDIT ============== This is not about DotA, DotA owns them both, yes, we ALL know that. but what I'm asking is what you prefer between LoL and HoN. One thing I don't like about LoL is the servers.. PvP.net will disconnect you a lot. and although you can reconnect instantly, a few seconds can be a great inconvenience. Also, someone from HoN was given blessing by Icefrog (someone from DotA) that they can make a game based off of DotA (HoN) So why do people even play HoN when they have DotA? EDIT 2 ============= IT seems LoL is winning by 2 ;P I was planning to try out HoN if it got more votes, but I guess I'll stick to LoL but honestly, I thought HoN would be completely filled with votes o_o EDIT 4 ============= The biggest difference between Hon players and LoL players that I just noticed is that when LoL players are debating about how good LoL is, they only talk about how fun LoL is and throw in a "HoN is too much of a DotA clone" but when HoN players join the debate, they always say 20-30% of good things about HoN then the rest is about how bad LoL is? I don't care how bad you think the opposing game is, that's not the opinion I need (since I want to know if I should try HoN or not) I need you to tell me how good HoN is, I already know everything about LoL good point AND bad. No need to remind me and throw in more ridiculous lies about how "the colours are awful" (lolwut?) I'm keeping score and for eveyr post that bashes LoL I disqualify from the score mostly because it's not telling me anything about HoN. even though yes, there have been some post by a few people who have explained why HoN is a great game.

From what i hear, (this coming from a Dota plyer) LoL requires you to purchase buffs and not items? HoN is just another version of DotA with better looks and nerfed heroes. Back to LoL..anyways...this causes it to way more aggressive...but honestly retarded. All you get of it is a much more pub experience. DotA > the rest anyday. Responding to the thread starter : LoL, it's actually different from DotA.

league is ok. its "free" at least, but there are limitations and rewards based on how long you play (levels/purchasing power/spells etc) good to try out and keeps you motivated. Dota is more strategy oriented since everyone has access to the heroes and there isn't really an unfair advantage. haven't tried HoN

Until now it's been either people have sided with LoL and ONLY point out the bad points of HoN or people have sided with HoN and ONLY point out the bad points of LoL. I need more perspective from both sides, if you're going to tell me that there are no good points to the game you are opposing, you're lying.

I love HoN. I tried LoL and hated it. I play DoTA on Garena with my friends, but when I tried HoN Beta, I HAD to buy it when it came out. But then I had no credit card, and I would need to buy two prepaid cards (25 each) or one 50 dollar one to buy a 30 dollar game. I guess I will just buy it next time :P I dont know if LoL has this, but I like how you can customize HoN. It helps when teaching new friends to play too, such as the Last hit / Deny bar. Sure its "nooby" but it helps a damn lot. Also, the point systems in HoN. Why is it good? If you are bad, you can join a room with a title for looking for ... example : <1000 (CP? I forgot what it was called. I played it a few months back). If you are good, just look for a room with the title >5000 And you can know whos good, whos bad, etc. Sure you may get kicked alot but just look for a noob room to join. Or make one. OR matchmaking, which means no one can kick you even if you suck. Theres auto rejoin. Thats pretty good. If you DC you have 5 minutes to get back in. This would be very very helpful for those random crashes you barely/often get. One last thing : If you are experienced with all the player and items in DoTA, I really recommend HoN. Its very similar. The main problem I had when trying LoL is that I had no idea what was what. HoN is very similar to DoTA, but LoL was like.. lol. I had no idea how to play even though I thought it was like dota. That may have affected my point of view for LoL though. My vote is for HoN ^^

I've played all 3, and I'd say it goes Hon-Dota-LoL. LoL in my opinion is crap. Those bonus things that you get from ranking up or whatever are horrible. I'm better than a lot of the pub players, but they are still able to beat me just because they're higher ranks or whatever when I'm playing with my friends. Well, at least when I played LoL it was like that. I also think that the graphics/interface or whatever it's called is a lot worse than Hon. Dota is great, but the fact that it's graphics aren't as good, and there's a lot of lag and everything because of the people hosting makes me not want to play it. Hon is the best imo because they can keep track of your stats, there's little lag in games, better graphics, no advantages like those in LoL, etc.

I am an active HoN player and from my persepctive, HoN are and will always be game to me. one of the reasons is that HoN is more based on Dota than LoL is. I liked DotA because they had great strategy and abillity to bring ones personal skills to the surface not by unfair advantages like LoL. Everyone starts on scratch and must build up their skill on how much they play. Another reason is that I really hate the way LoL creat the skin for their heroes. Its basically ridiculous how they can make a strategy game look like a kids playtoy. The colors? awefull, and it looks like they are making fun of DotA. If you really want to play a game based purely on skills, go for HoN. Even though I agree that HoN characters doesn't have a very huge variation on character design/modeling, they wil always have my vote. I played both, I used to aboslutely love HoN but then it costed money so I tried LoL and it was a lot better because I get points to buy champions which makes the game more fun. And it's way easier since everyone sucks. I go like 25k 2d with gangplank on a usual game/

Would you rather dress like batman or the flash?
