EDIT2: Because we seem to have a failure to read the thread in its entirety, I will post this right now. The dual blade FATAL BLOW is STRONGER in DPM than the bandit's SAVAGE BLOW. In the BIG BANG, SAVAGE BLOW DPM will beat the dual blade FATAL BLOW. Read the rest BEFORE you post your arrogance/educated opinion. God forbid I should have to get into any 3rd/4th job skills OTHER THAN SB/FB which the title actually says. EDIT: 9 FB per 10 seconds of spam 16 SB per 10 seconds of spam Meaning? SB is 1.8 times faster for the statistical guys. Pretty much, people are saying that a DB can easily overpower a bandit with fatal vs savage. I'd like to point this out A bandit's SB is twice as fast as a dual blade's FB. A bandit's SB does not have "Half and half" like the FB. (6 consistent hits vs "4-high/low") A bandit's SB does not have the distance of FB. A bandit's SB does not compare to the dual blade's other mobbing moves. With that being said, the dual blade will continue to be an overall power house, but when it comes to single targets, that's where we're balanced, even if both classes were NX-less. (On a side note, 2nd job bandits WILL outdo dual blades on single targets at 50-70 if you take the above reasons and apply the big bang. Not sure about 3rd job plus) Small note: Bandit SB at level 50-ish (imaginary damage) 800 800 800 800 800 800 Added together makes 4.8k DB Fatal Blow at level 50-ish (also imaginary damage) 1800 900 1800 900 1800 900 1800 900 Added together makes 10.8k This is just assuming that it was a perfect world, and the damage range was capped at 1k for each. SB is 80% of 1k x6 FB is 180% (at the moment) and a katar at the same level is always about half of the main dagger, if not LESS. Since SB is twice as fast+ of FB, we can deduce that two SBs is 9.6k vs 10.8k. Dual blades win by a slight margin on single targets in this case, but this proves that bandits are still effective. Now apply the big bang. Bandit's SB at 50-ish 900 900 900 900 900 900 Added together makes 5.4k Dual blade's FB at 50-ish 1100 550 1100 550 1100 550 1100 550 Added together makes 6.6k. This makes a significant decrease in single targets. So the verdict? DBs are a big hype right now, but bandits will be single target kings in the end. Dual blades will have an INCREASE in mobility, and party skills; Bandits will be the hard hitting single attackers. So, instead of flaming the dual blades, make some DB friends. Thorns is pretty nice :D

I agree that SB is faster than Fatal Blow, but twice as fast? I have a hard time believing that. Since i do have a bandit and a dual blader I'll test it out and get back to you on the results.

I got a DB and it is twice as fast. I don't like fatal blow. Upper stab and bloody slash outdamages it even on 2 targets if feels like.

with bandits sb is the best multi hit att and even though its 1.8x faster that fatal blow, fatal blow can be combined with mirror image to hit 16x which almost quadruples the amount sb can do in the same space of time. BOTTOM LINE: in terms of dpm db will always beat bandit

DBs are the best OVERALL (as stated in the the thread, read carefully) at the moment, which means they're still stronger than dits in the long run. DBs will become an awesome mobbing class after big bang, Dits will be even better than DBs on single targets, especially because of the new damages (SB -> 90%, FB -> 110%). So yes, I agree with you. DB has higher DPM on single targets than dits..... (For now)

bandit's SB isnt 2x faster than FB. maybe somewhere around 1.3x faster. SB: 800 800 800 800 800 800 = 4.8k FB: 1800 900 1800 900 1800 900 1800 900 1800 900 = 10.8k 4.8k x 1.3 = 6240. DB is better.

Where are you getting your attacks per sec info from? Aside from that: Im lv 40 and I hit from 800-1.3k with my dag, and 400-820ish with my katara. [900][4]+[600][4]=7k per hit. [Low lv mastery].
