g3n3sys42>>http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/playlist/Nobuo+Uematsu/31940377<< For all the music he made for us. Without him, we wouldn't have Maple Story, without him, JRPG-style would not be the same. Listen to every track, feel it in your soul.

I like his composing, but I don't like most of the FF series after VI, other than like IX. @-@, but that might be because they had actual heroic protagonists/outgoing characteristics that made them stand out over the other characters that start late, and actually need an excuse to save the world. >>; But I don't think he revolutionized/changed the JRPG style to the way it is now.
Without his music, the dominating JRPG would still be the Dragon Quest series, and it took them until 2004 to have some semblance of 3D. The genre would have died without the memorable sounds of Final Fantasy lingering in the minds of millions.
But 2D style still remains popular among certain fans of the JRPG series, I mean granted we like the 3D graphics as it's a lot more appeasing to the eye, but I would believe that the graphics would be because of the visual team of FF, not the musical team. (Unless for some mysterious reason Nobuo was in the graphic design team and I had no clue of it.)

I don't think that FF would have reached 1997 without Nobuo.

Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II didn't even have a "large" ST though, I mean from what I remember FF only contained about five ~ seven different BGMs, but it was still quite successful. I think the game play would have a little more to do with how JRPGs are taken in, even now.
