hey, i know theres a certain ratio for LUK:ATK for thieves. my searching tells me that its 5 luk : 1 atk. however, from being friends with many experienced people over the years, ive come to think that as you go higher level, the ratio is higher, like 7 luk : 1 atk. so I'm asking you, Basil community, to help me with my calculations; im a level 150 NL, i want to know what my luk:atk ratio is. thanks!

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing. I know that as a lower leveled sin it was around 5 luk for 1 att. But now as a higher one I heard it was 7 luk is 1 att. I know there's a formula to figure it out, but I don't have it xD

Find your total weapon attack. Attack of EVERYTHING you have counts. (This includes stars, buffs, pots, etc.etc.) Then find your total luck. This can be done by opening the stat window, casting MW, and then that number is your total luck. Divide your total luck by your total weapon attack. That's your luck to weapon attack ratio. It's that simple.

omg autumn... i didnt mean that kind; i meant how many luk is equivalent in effect to 1 atk? not the direct luk : atk ratio (that doesnt solve anything for me...)

o_o. The ratio tells you exactly how much LUK = 1 W.ATT for your char. That's all there is to it. Example. You have 100 W.ATT and 600 LUK. If you divide 600 by 100, you get 6. That's your LUK : W.ATT ratio, which tells you how much LUK is equal to 1 W.ATT. So if that person got an extra 1 W.ATT, it would be equal to him getting an extra 6 LUK. That's all there is to it, and that's the only formula for it. There isn't anything else. If I still didn't make it clear for you then I don't know what you're looking for and can't help you.

Instead of confusing him Autumn. I see you're 150. At that point, 1 luk is about 6-7 on your range, and 1 attack is about 30. So the average ratio is 1:4

^^^ thank you. Autumn, that isnt a formula, its just proportioning the amount of luk i have to the amount of attack i have. there is no way you can prove that the two are related. like, say i suddenly get some awesome luk item, and i get my luk to 800. my attk is still 100. how can you prove that 8 luk = 1 att now?

This: ---> Max (per star) : Lucky Seven = [((5.0*LUK)/100)*(Weapon Attack)*Damage Percentage] Is the formula for L7, as well as TT. Now, there are two variables here, LUK and W.ATT, thus, in terms of your damage, they are directly related. Say you have 600 LUK and 100 W.ATT. Your max damage is then 4,500, without Critical. Your current ratio of LUK to W.ATT is 6:1, by my definition. Now then, if this is the correct amount, then you should have the same boost from 6 LUK as 1 W.ATT would give you, yes? Plug it back in the formula: [((5.0*LUK)/100)*(Weapon Attack)*Damage Percentage] 606 LUK & 100 W.ATT Max = 4545 600 LUK & 101 W.ATT Max = 4545 You can see that a bonus of 6 LUK is equivalent to a bonus of 1 W.ATT. Dividing the LUK by the W.ATT does indeed tell you how much LUK 1 W.ATT is worth. Lets try it with 800 LUK and 100 W.ATT. By the formula I gave you, 8 LUK would boost your damage by the exact amount 1 W.ATT would, correct? Again: [((5.0*LUK)/100)*(Weapon Attack)*Damage Percentage] 808 LUK & 100 W.ATT Max = 6060 800 LUK & 101 W.ATT Max = 6060 As you can see, once again, 8 LUK and 1 W.ATT give the same bonus in damage. Must I spell it out for you? Dividing the LUK by the W.ATT tells you how much LUK 1 W.ATT is worth. If this STILL doesn't make sense to you I think I'm going to have to agree with Fish and say to just use 1:4, even though it's completely off. This is as simple as it gets, and if it still doesn't make sense... well... I can't do anything, considering how much time it took to type this up I'm not at all interested in teaching you basic math.

Autumun, I love it when you prove people wrong with math, or show proof with it. If TC still doesn't want to believe you about it, just ignore him and allow him to figure things out the hard way himself.
