Cant do the continued quest to get valefor hat :o Help?

I started the quest(s) to get the valefor hat (im a dual blade), i only finished ervine's quest and i left off at doing Jay's quest. I decided to do the dual blade quests instead to advance and then i decided to go forward for the valefor hat and go to Jay. When i get there i dont see a quest (Lost Book) and i cant continue. Is it because i advanced into a Blade Recruit and didnt stay as a rogue or no? Any help?

Its not because you advanced, its because you are getting ahead of yourself, talk to the Dark Lord. If nobody told you to talk to Jay yet, then why would you think you already had to go there...

Oh i already talked to the Dark Lord after i finished Ervine's quests.

You should backtrack. You mightve forgot to click an npc, or accepted the wrong quest from one.
