Buying a laptop

So I'm thinking of buying a laptop and I have a question. Which of these computers are better? Acer Aspire 5943G: Intel core i7 720 QM 4 GB Ram 500 GB HDD 15.6" 1366x768 ATI Radeon HD 5650 Acer Aspire 5745G: Intel core i7 720 QM 4 GB Ram 500 GB HDD 15.6" 1366x768 NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M

The Acer Aspire 5943G. How much are they worth? What games will you be playing on it, as well as what other things besides gaming will you be doing on it?

Mostly gaming and watching movies, both can run HD movies right? Since I'm not from the US I don't know how much they cost in USD with taxes and stuff but converted from the Swedish price with tax (25%) they cost 1426 USD for the 5943G and 1563.36 USD for the 5745G. Games I will be playing are Cod 4, MW2, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2 and similar.

if possible I'd look into getting the i7 620M instead of the i7 720QM, it should come up as the same price, but games are made to run more on less cores rather then more, more cores will A. use the battery up faster and B. are more made for more multitasking/graphics and animation

I've yet to see a 620M in a store for a decent price. I don't want to buy over the internet since it would be much harder with hardware support if something breaks. So thanks for the thought. Why is the Radeon HD 5650 better than the Geforce GT 330M?

HD 5650 GT 330m And yes, they will play HD movies. I dunno how much it will cost in Sweden but see if you could get the MSI GX640, Asus N71, or laptops with similar specs in that price range.

[/quote] Thanks for the tips but I haven't seen either of those laptops in stores. And wouldn't a i7 processor be better than the i5 in both those computers considering that I'll probably use this laptop for a couple of years and as I grow older I don't know how much I'll be playing games, therefore I think that the i7 would last longer as a "normal usage" laptop than an i5. Since I've already cut back on gaming a lot during school weeks after starting Gymnasiet (High-School) and I'll probably study for at least 5 years more wouldn't an i7 be more price worthy option for a long time purchase?
