Bowman or Crossbowman?

I always wanted to make a bowman. I know the general. Crossbowman are more powerful but slower fire rate. Bows have faster fire rate but weaker. So which one? Opinions and suggestions are welcomed.

take my advice, and do neither Go wind archer! I had the same question as you one month ago, and after playing and getting a bowmen to 50, and a crossbowmen to 50, i figured that it is simply too boring. Why? Minimum range really ruins my bow/xbow experience. WHen i switched to wind archer, i realized that storm break (equivalent to iron arrow and arrow bomb) doesn't have minimum range(as in I can use the skill up close on monsters too!) IN conclusion........ GO WIND ARCHER...unless you really can make it to fourth job...

dont listen to him if u consider even getting to late 3rd job then explorer are the way to go...i mean why would i want to get hurricane at lvl 100 and stop if i can get it at 120 and play even further.I went hunter because of 4 reasons : i love hurricane ,Arrow Rain looks cooler then Erruption , Inferno has got criticals ,bows are easier to find than xbows ( but more expensive) .

Okay, so far hunters. But another question, isn't training really slow. Back in the day i had likea lvl 40ish hunter. And it seemed forever to lvl up. Was it some patch? or maybe i was just too nub back then. But still i hear the it's tortrous to train a bowman.

In CPQ, both bowmen can do well with decent PKB. I breezed easily from 30-77 from purely WR's. Typhons were mad exp from 77-81. Aprox. 70%/hr, without buffs.

EW dont go wind archer. xbow and rangers both have their pros and cons, but windarchers have a ton of cons. no SE level cap at 120 etc etc..

They're both pretty much the same until 4th job. Then it comes down to mobbing(Marksman) or single target(BowMaster).
