Anyone know how to use that thing to reset the potential?

I was just wondering how do you use it before I buy it and can it destroy the item?

I will copy-paste from another thread I answered before: "Hello The system might look confusing but it's not. Well, just a little bit. You have 2 kinds of items, regular and items with potential. Regular items are the old ones and the ones that drop now without hidden potential. Now if you want to add potential to a regular item you must use potential scroll (70%) or advanced potential scroll (90%) i believe you can get them from monsters, but you can get a 70% scroll using a magic cube 5 times or you can get a 90% scroll if you use magic cube 10 times. What is the big deal about it? Well potential items can give extra random stats to your items, some of them are extremly good stats. So you first of all if you don't have a potential item, you have to get it with one of the scrolls I mentioned above, the risk is that if you fail, your item gets destroyed (I blew 6 atk 10 dex PAC few hours ago) but if it works you will have a hidden potential item. You can use the magnifying glass to discover the extra stats on your item, for example, you use the glass on a 65 atk shinobi bracer, it says you get extra +2% int, it's obviously useless, so you don't want those extra stats, you get a miracle cube, you use it and it resets the extra stats, your item becomes hidden potential again. You can re-use the magnifying glass and see what new stats are, you get now +20 avoid +5 weapon atk. Way better. You decide if you like it or if you want new stats with re-using again magic cube. Now about enhancement scroll, the more enhancement scrolls you pass, the higher is the chance is you get something good on that item when magnifying glass. I wouldn't use it on a godly item, at least not the 80% one. I would go for a 100% one (said to drop from bosses). But It's not thaaat important. I've given my xbow + 6 atk + 44 avoid without any enhancement after a few magic cubes. I hope it's all clear, if you still have any doubt, just ask!"

potential scrolls destroy the item if it fails. miracle cubes that reset the hidden stats have 0 chance to boom the item.
