Freezing Every 15 Seconds.

Hello Basil. I'm running Maple on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. It installed just fine, and seems to run without issue for the most part. However, every 15 seconds, the game freezes completely for about half a second (even the typing cursor and mouse freezes) This is definitely not a hardware issue, as I have a Core i7, 4GB of RAM, an nVidia 240M, and a GB Ethernet controller. My internet connection is also extremely fast, as I'm on a research University wired network. Anyway, it must be a software problem. I'm thinking that its a Windows 64 bit service. Is there anyone running Maple on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit that doesn't have this problem? Update: Most people experience this. It's not the OS, nor the hardware configuration (this machine can run Mirror's Edge on max settings just fine with AA). I think Nexon is performing an anti-hack check every few seconds. The problem is that this "feature" makes it near impossible to do jump quests or do anything in the game as before. I just came back to maple, and with performance this terrible on a 2D game it doesn't seem worth playing.

I have the same exact OS and I also experience this. But it's only noticable/annoying when I'm doing a JQ and it freezes right before I jump.

OK I went so far as to dual boot Windows XP and I have the same problem. Does everyone experience this with maple these days? The game freezes for just a bit every so often.

ur lucky mine freezes every10 secs(20% of the time it doesnt freeze) but i dnt wait i have to resatrt my comp all over again -_-

I have Vista and it's doing the same thing ever since the last patch. It'll just pause for a brief second, but if I was typing something or pushing a button, it won't register what key I was pushing so I'll suddenly stop (or stop in mid air and fall if I'm jumping).

I have Windows 7 and I've NEVER ever had problems running Maple. This includes Zakum. Ever. So people shouldn't blame Windows 7 for the problem, it might be your internet connection.

i have 32 bit windows 7, my computer does a random mini-lag of about .3-.5 seconds every 30 seconds. dont know what it is, i think it is just maple actually.

It's either your internet connection, your computer specs (no, this has nothing to do with your OS), or you downloaded some sort of virus yet you just don't know it.

Do you really not experience any pauses or hitches while jumping or typing EVER?

It happened to me too. I think its the graphics problem, either that or your monitor has issues. Try getting a new one or upgrade your graphics card o_o;; Tho this has never happened to me till the Evan patch came along.
