Hello basil. I've been trying out several lower ab exercises, however there are quite alot of them. I'm having problems figuring out which one is the best for me. Could anyone who's got a bit of experience in this field recommend me one or two exercises? Thanks in advance

Leg lifts/inclined leg lifts with weights/mason twists/scissors... That's all that comes to mind.

So about the lying leg lifts.. Would I need to do them on a mat? (The mat would be lying on the floor) or is possible to do them while lying on my bed?

Should I get some kind of mat? Or would lying on the carpet be good enough?

I do it on my carpeted floor, lol. It doesn't really matter that much, just somewhere nice and solid. Maybe not hardwood floor, or something that would hurt.

What's the purpose of your lower ab exercises? If it's to reduce fat in that area, then you've got the wrong idea in your head. Spot fat removal* doesn't exist. *Spot fat removal is when you try to remove fat exclusively in just one area of the body. Like when you do ab exercises, you try to remove fat in your ab section. Yeah. Doesn't happen that way.* If you just want a six pack or something, while doing ab exercises are still a good idea, you'll also want to look at... cardio. Yep. Cardio. I promise I know what I'm talking about. I'm not some person who just talks. My brother is the one who enlightened me about all this (though I don't really have a six pack since... well... I don't really want muscle. I just want a flat stomach to look good for the summmerrr! And I think he helped me a whole lot in getting what I wanted xD. He's obsessed w/ this kind of stuff since he bboys. And lots of ppl ask him about his 8 pack). I'll send the rest to you in a msg since i don't want to make an even larger wall of text, and I can help you out if you have any more questions. Or I can getmy brother to help you. Actually. I'll just have my brother send you the msg xD.

squats, deadlifts, ABGM's, chinups, and hanging leg raise are the best AB exercises.

I've got a 6 pack but my lower ab muscles are less developed than my upper ab muscles. Anyway I'll go read the mail and pm you back!

Just do the bicycle on a carpet and you should be fine.

Make sure you eat proteins with some carbohydrates! And don't do ab workouts everyday. Do 'em every other day (when you work out, your muscles get worked, and the way they get stronger is by repairing themselves, i.e. waiting a day before the next workout).
