| Hihi Basil, :] Tomorrow I'm going computer shopping - a passing present from mommy. She's going to get me a gaming computer, but I'm not 100% sure of what to look for. Can someone give me some tips of what I should look for (RAM, space, etc)? :] Okay then.. *Edit: My mom just changed her mom and decided she doesn't want to spend over $300. -sigh- .. Even though she said she's going to get me a gaming computer, not a Icanbarelyrunthisgame computer. <_< Thanks for the help anyways. * |

| No online for $700? That changes everythang. But seriously, you won't get anything as good as that one, but pretty much any $500-$600 computer will run zakum with no lag. Closest would probably be this, but it's sold out. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227261&cm_re=ibuypower-_-83-227-261-_-Product |

|
DecembersRain : I don't really know anything about computer specs.
That's... not going to be good lol XD Uuuhh... if you want a general outline of what to look for: • Don't worry too much about the CPU if you're not going to do video/audio editing, most computers will come with a dual or quad core and will be enough to run most games without a problem. • The hard drive will depend on how much stuff you have; most computer users will probably not use more than 500~750gb, though. • The video card should be from NVidia or ATI (seeing as most of the other cards are probably integrated), and a general range of cards to look for would probably be from NVidia's 8000 series up to the GTX275 and ATI's 4500 (and 5400) series to the 5700 series. Here's a general list of the cards just in case. • Be sure to ask about the manufacturer's warranties as well. Interestingly enough, I found this laptop several days ago, and for the price, it's really not a bad buy considering it'll run Battlefield: Bad Company 2 almost like this. |

|
ShiroNoYami : If your parents doesn't mind buying online... get this.
Actually, a much better alternative : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227274&cm_re=ibuypower-_-83-227-274-_-Product Although it's sold out. Newegg.ca has it, but they're having problem with the stock and stuff. |

That game looks.. Oh my God. O: I sent my mom that link, hopefully she'll look at it. That game looks amazing. o_o Is it going to run exactly like that, or close to that? Either way is fine. xD Thanks for the information and the links, too. :D I'll post any new things I find/what mom thinks of that computer. xD Edit: Okay, mom didn't even look at that computer. She just changed her mind and said I'm not getting anything over $300. The computer I'm using was around that or possibly more, and it can't run games worth crap. So much for "I'll get you a gaming computer for passing." -sigh- Thanks for the help anyway, guys. :] <3 |

| Oh, so you want to play BC2 now? If your mom willing to buy something online from an actual manufacturer, look at this Dell . Stick in a HD5770 with 4GB of RAM, and it comes to around $719 Edit: Oh...That sucks. |

They're apparently one of the biggest computer companies in Taiwan along with Asus. |

I meant to say if she preferred to buy it directly from the Dell site rather than going to Newegg and get it. For some reason, my mom was like that in the past and thought it may be the same for the TS. |

| or you could just read and see what we already told him, and if he doesn't know anything about specs of a computer, I HIGHLY doubt he would know how to build one himself |
