Ouch. Fingers. Key setting.

Yeaah, so. We, in EMS, has just got Arans (Woohoo). Anyway, everything was going fine, untill I got Combo Smash, it is near impossible to use that skill when I had my attacking skill on the 'Delete' button, which is above the arrow keys. Therefore I tried to move it to the 'CTRL'-button, but my littlefinger/pinky & wrist starts to hurt abit, when I've used it for quite a while. Therefore, does anyone have a practical key setting they could show me? I've tried to move them around, and try stuff out, but I cant seem to find a good solution. So, post your key setting/give me some advices. Anything is appreciated. Thank you in advance. Note: If you're going to post pics, then please upload them to tinypic or something. NOT imagehack. Edit: I'd really appreciate it, if you'd post a pic of your key setting. It'd be much easier ;O. Thank you in adavnce.

Try using the right Ctrl isntead of left. So you can move and use your right index finger. Thats what i do, sometimes I use my pink on left on.

u could try the F button which means ur index finger is the one spamming. A good tip is not to mash simple taps is enough for aran's purpose.

I hate using spacebar. Also, it seems to be hard to loot, if I use the Z-button. Org, this is so annoying. I've been using almost the same key setting for all my chars in YEARS! It's hard to get rid of ur habits .

Tip:Keap hands relaxed, dont push buttons hard or fast. This will get some time to get used to cause its hard to not spam it as fast as you can but once you get it down, no more pain.

I put my ring finger on Z to loot, middle finger on ALT to jump, index finger on C (or you can use F) to attack. EDIT: My booster is on Spacebar/Shift, can't really remember, but any of those three fingers can easily access either one. Most of my skills are around that area (Combat Step is X, directly in the middle of the three fingers, buffs like Body Pressure and Snow Charge are around A/D, preferably using a macro)

I'd like to post a pic of my setup but I'm kinda lazy so I'll tell you how it goes. A - Attack Z - Pick up X - Combat Step Alt - Jump Ctrl - Body Pressure S - Snow Charge Delete - Booster (I use a laptop, so it might be easier for me but I'm not too sure) Shift - Knockback

I just threw the "Attack" button on Z. Combat Step on X. My buffs are located on B, V, N & H. With that setup, i can grind for 2x cards and barely feel anything. (:

I've never felt a single pain while playing my Aran: x = combat step (middle finger (move it from z to use)) alt = jump (pointer) Ctrl = Attack (index) Buffs are the buttons above the arrow keys like PgUp, PgDn, Home, etc. When I boss (not when I train, since I don't have to worry about c-step or Alt much) I just put my pointer on Ctrl, and my right hand pointer on the right Ctrl and alternate between them.

don't mash the buttons, you only have to tap up to 3 times (and then repeat, very quickly if need be - but not mash-like :P) prior to 3rd or 4th job. that's all I can say since I still use my ctrl( left side) with my right hand taking care of the directional arrows and buffs right now, being in 2nd job all I have for buffs is booster - and that is one my home key :P that's it for my settings, pots are on 5 and 6 for hp/mp and atk pots are on 0 speed pills are on end accuracy pills are on insert all else is standard default settings I use a laptop :P
