Follow up - Got my License

This is a follow up thread to my post from yesterday Basil Today I turned 16 - and today I got my license. I walked up to the DPS office with pride and waited in line for an hour. It wasn't until I got up to the desk that the woman told me I had forgotten my VOE (Texas doesn't give licenses to minors that aren't in school). I had to rush home and get my last report card and go back. Luckily, I was allowed to cut everyone. I waited for the woman to fill out my information. Done. I waited to take my picture. Done. I received my license. Done. I didn't have to take a driving test because that law was past last September (I was grandfathered in because I had my permit before then). Today has been great.

Congrats. What car are you going to drive? I got my uncle's 2008 Chevy Cobalt SS last year as a gift. It runs great at 26,000 miles and best of all it was free

My driving test took less than 1 hour to pass. It was like 50 multiple choice questions on paper, and then a 30 minute drive with an instructor. Grats on your license.

That's if they don't want me to get my Landrover...

My driving test was like 10 minutes. We drove around the streets around the DDS. There was like 3 lights... that's it.
