Hey guys! I'm interested in fast melee chars so naturally I came to the conclusion of a bandit or a DB. Both I can see are pretty much similar in their 1st and 2nd jobs but I was wondering what the gameplay is like for 3rd job and 4th. (more concerned with 3rd since I won't reach 4th for a while) What I generally like is fast gameplay, variety, and I guess you could say charm, to some extent. While I haven't actually had hands on gameplay with either, and I'm not really read up on my Dual Blader facts, I'm just looking for some plain advice. Thanks for reading and for your time. Cheers!

hmm kind of hard to say on DB part since no one has yet, i can only go by vids. Both extremely flashy but id say DB a bit more simply cause of FASTUS combo, flying Assulter everywhere, covering the map in mere seconds. But again really hard to say without actually DB game play.

Dual Blades are pretty much better in every way except for survivability. They lack: Meso Guard. Smoke Screen. And most importantly Shadow Shifter. Other than that they out damage us in almost every way possible. Until Big Bang of course. Then Shads are given Shadow Partner :D

Roccky Acctually they have better surviabiatly then Shadowers since they have an I frame on all the skills. Shadowers only have a I frame on the skill boomarang step which has a CD

Actually their i frames have been nerfed so that they actually get hit once in a while.

DBs have more fast flashy skills. I think they get more skills then any other thief class because they get "+" jobs which are extensions to the orginal "x Job" (Such as 3rd job and 3rd job+) Id go with a DB !

My hermit is JUST LIKE EVERY THIEF NOW T_T FJ AND SP? Yeah DB, can also be compared to Aran for the swinging style though.

DB is more like Aran, except they have similar Shadower skills. That's a simple explanation. How can I describe it... Shadowers are more like a 1 vs 1 class, but DB is too, and DBs can mob. So personally, I'd prefer DB if you didn't make a Shadower yet. DB might lack efficiency in bossing though. Shadowers can Darksight->Drop mesos->M.E, while DB has to CoH, and stuff. above dont forget about CB fjing later on.

I mean based on training you can only use one skill at a time. By that time the monster is either: Dead. Moving. Prepping up the next attack. More than enough time for BStep to finish its cooldown.

Not as good as Shads at least.

Apprntly dbs are suppose to be beastly mobbers, blooody storm, tornado spin, flying assulter etc... and not bad on 1v1 either, COH with flash bang is suppose to be amazing

I played a pizza slice with some dual blade skills, and they're really fun! it only had fatal blow, flying assaulter, upper stab, sudden raid, and final cut, but i think i got a pretty good feel for them. Oh and blade booster, self haste and fj. (fj looks so cool on dual blades, you can't really appreciate it on a video xD) anyway, back on topic, dual blades are super fun and i think you would enjoy them, more so than a shadower. Shads have cool skills but they aren't very fast :|
