Damage Formula, including Percent Equips + MW30 This includes MW30. If you don't have access to MW30, then don't multiply by 1.15. If you don't have Percent equips, substitute 1 for the variables that represent net percent increase of stats. Also, to calculate the minimum of your damage range (this only gives your maximum), just multiply your maximum by 0.7. Minimum ~ Maximum, but... duh. If your mastery is 90%, multiply by 0.9. Wolfram Alpha A (4 ((B 1.15+C) D)+(E 1.15+F) G+(H 1.15+J) K) L/100 A=Weapon Multiplier B=BASE primary stat C=Primary stat bonuses from equips D=Net percent increase for primary stat (+1.00) E=BASE secondary stat F=Secondary stat bonuses from equips G=Net percent increase for secondary stat (+1.00) H =BASE tertiary stat Ignore these J =Tertiary stat bonuses from equips if you aren't a K =Net percent increase for tertiary stat(+1.00) strength-bandit L=Total Weapon Attack If you aren't a strength bandit, feel free to ignore tertiary stats (They use LUK as primary, DEX as secondary, STR as tertiary). Just don't add anything in for those variables. As in, substitute zeroes for the variables. Weapon Multipliers Credits go to Fiel for these 1H Sword: 1.10 1H Axe: 1.10 1H Blunt Weapon: 1.10 2H Sword: 1.29 2H Axe: 1.27 2H Blunt Weapon: 1.27 Spear: 1.49 Polearm: 1.49 Staff: 0.88 Wand: 0.88 Bow: 1.15 Crossbow: 1.35 Claw: 2.00 Dagger: 1.30 Gun: 1.60 Knuckler: 1.70 Net percentage increase If you have a +10% increase and another +10% increase from two separate equips that affect the same stat, then the net increase would 21%. To find your net percentage increase, just multiply (1.00 + the percent increase from the equipment) by (1.00 + the percent increase from the equipment), and keep multiplying like that for every percent item you're wearing that affects that stat. It's important to add 1, because if you had an item that increased your DEX by 50%, and you had 500 DEX, you'd want to add 50% of 500. 500*1.5 adds .5*500 and 1*500, to get 750 total. As opposed to a 50% equip that made your DEX 250 from 500. If you're wearing +6%, +4%, +10%, +30%, you'd do 1.06*1.04*1.1*1.3, for a net increase of 57.6%, for that particular stat! The rest of this thread is me trying to figure out the damage range differences between a DEXless NL and a REGDEX NL. I was very annoyed with the fact that I suck at math. [quote] Russisch : Considering 84% total increase from percent-gear won't actually end up being that godly, it's likely that with some sort of funding and an onyx apple , a DEXless Skanda-using NL will pretty much mow down a REGDEX. Go to the bottom for the conclusion. But basically, the more LUK and W.ATT both thieves, both DEXless and REGDEX aquire at equal rates, the more powerful a DEXless will become in comparison to a REGDEX. Even while the DEXless is using a skanda, while the REGDEX uses a Lampion. I don't know why a DEXless NL would ever bother with percent-DEX equips. So scrap that. Here's the math for a DEXless 60-attack skanda user.

I'm not sure why you're assuming a dexless thief would get % dex equips, when being dexless makes % luk equips much more valuable for you than for a regular-dex thief. This is completely backwards.

Read the bottom paragraph. Without DEX, they can't wear anything beyond a skanda. I stated that I'm unsure of a DEXless skanda-using NL's power with percent-LUK gear compared to a regular-stat lampion-using NL with percent-LUK gear. I don't have the time to calculate (using the formula at the bottom) who would have greater power, as I have to stretch my dad's leg out (he just got a knee replacement). So, be right back, and help yourself to the damage formula at the bottom.

If you are using an item that increases a stat by a % amount, you should ALWAYS use it on the stat you have the most of. Using it on a secondary stat because you need more of it is the most wasteful thing you could possibly do and there is no justification for it. Edit: it is LITERALLY the difference between choosing 10 of your main stat or 1 of your secondary stat.

The point is that the dex % equips would make the LUK % equips less. You're going to stay a dexless skanda/raven claw user forever? If you're going to be a dexless lampion or craven or sleeve user, then its better to go reg dex and get luk % equips. It's like MW, but focused on a single stat. 15% luk may be a higher luk gain for a dexless NL, but then you have to think about w.atk. W Atk>Luk.

Reg dex users should up their dex and go full out with % luk equips =o!

You're smart, but you have your blind side, Dexless, is dexless for a reason. If they got dex equips, maybe they're not dexless after all.

Doesn't really matter what you guys think actually. In about a month and a half, the entire damage formula will be changed. No point in calculating anything.

jj92Indeed mw30 only works on base stats. Dexless users gain nothing from it... Low dex is best for nightlords. With a couple of dex equips they can equip a lampion or a sleeve with much more attack. Reg dex isn't necessary, low is the way to go.

Just so I know, I'm going to attempt to calculate some kind of damage range. I just realized that this is one formula, so... I'm going to end up with a single number. I'm not sure how to calculate the minimum part of your range, so we'll leave it at max. Regular-DEX : 2*(1129*4 + 160)*(81/100) = 7575 DEXless : 2*(1296*4 + 66)*(60/100) = 6300 TheFLAMEZ You are a flamezer. Fail logic, indeed, at the first part. I'm getting rid of that, but my initial point was correct - reg-DEX will benefit far more from percent-equips. DreadVayne These are calculated with the new formulas. These are the maximum points of these theives' damage ranges.

Now figure out when a DEXless outdamages a low-dex with factors of amount of luk, % equips, and attack. And amounts of dex. Then I'll be impressed.
