Meso Exploit Resolution - Updated 07.12.2010

Copy pasta from nexon site... Dear Maplers, As part of the resolution of the meso exploit, we will be removing all exploited mesos from the Maple economy. This also includes the removal of mesos from trade blocked players who may have innocently come across the exploited mesos. We greatly apologize for this but we must remove the exploited mesos to minimize its impact on the current and future state of the Maple economy. Legitimately earned mesos will not be affected as we have a clear indication of which mesos were exploited. Trade blocked players will be released upon this week�s update. Due to the inconveniences that have been caused, players who are released from the trade block will be compensated. Non-trade blocked players were not subjected to the investigation and will not be affected by this resolution. Thank you for your time and support as we strive to make MapleStory a safe place for all. -The MapleStory Staff- wooooo this means i could lose like alot of mesos cause they just gonna make all those bad mesos go poof T_T gg nexon, first you ignore my ticket for a week. Second you made my mushie shop utterly useless. Third you now are telling me your gonna make a large amount of my meso go poof T_T Shouldn't of sold those scgs and chaos scrolls cause idk wtf is bad meso or not T_T

On a related note- If you have a shop open today, do be careful, since this will likely happen again once the fix the new mesos exploit that became public in the last day or so. They probably have some way of tracking which players are doing that silly Leafre mesos generation thing and tracking where they are spending the mesos, so I'd expect a new round of hellbans.

These hackers hacked the npc that you make donations to and got these "hacked/exploited mesos". And these hackers used these "exploited mesos" to buy stuffs off of people's shops. The sellers in turn, received the hacked mesos from the hackers. And now nexon will removed these mesos from those sellers. Ex: I sold my 15 int single earrings u/h for 2.14 bil mesos, hacker brought it. I received these mesos, and now nexon will removed them. So I will lose 2.14 bil and also the 15 int single earrings. ( I didn't really sell them, lols knew this would happen ).

If someone dumped 100 trillion dollars of fake $100 bills in the US, the economy would collapse due to hyper inflation unless the Fed stepped in and removed them.
