| Notice I said ultimate and not official! :D Anyway please post your thoughts on what lukless / lowluk / normal luk mages should do about their luk. Should normal luk mages still cap their luk? when? what about lukless? should they start adding to luk? Discuss. |

| On the stickied thread the accuracy formula is posted! _____________________________________________ It seems like Macc=1,2*INT + LUK + AccFromGear. So NO, LUKless mages are NOT pointless. ___________________________________________________ k i just woke up, so my brain is kinda foggy, but does this mean that int plays more of a part in accuracy than luk? 'Int * 2', and just 'Luk * 1' O_O. Omg wait. Is it just '(int + luk) * 2'. So then it just gives the same accuracy! omg yay! T_T, fail at me adding 30 LUK for the past few lvls. |
No one knows the new mage accuracy formula. Its just speculation at this point. Luk is more of a factor in accuracy than int. Your level/monster's level is also taken into consideration. |

|
James9481 : On the stickied thread the accuracy formula is posted!
Nobody know what the formula is for sure. Oh and lukless is the weaker build now. I see no point in lukless mages, less accuracy and less damage. Using reverse weapons or 164 e-staves will be the superior build. And above you'd have to sacrifice your current cape then to get that cape. And i rather not give up on my cape with m.att since that works like attack now. |

LUKless will essentially be an obsolete end-game build, just like DEXless Thieves, STRless Bowmen, DEX/STRless pirates. Not only will REG LUK outdamage LUKless, they'll also be FAR cheaper to maintain, FAR cheaper to get godly, and a LOT easier to find equipment for. Ignoring the weapons themselves, Low-LUK / Reg LUK also have the advantage in that gear above level 70 comes clean with M.Att. Starts at level 70 for shoes, 90 100, 110 and 120 all have M.Att Reverse gloves also come with M.Att if memory serves. That means that not only are Low/Reg LUK going to have more base M.Att from their weapon alone, their equipment will have the potential to contribute to that total M.Att, boosting their damage even MORE over a LUKless. Oh, and how could I forget - the new gear coming out gives us more free LUK, which even before the revamp patch, pushes Low-LUK ahead of LUKless anyhow. |

| ----------------------------------------------------------- The previous thoughts of LUKless mages being worthless are WRONG. The mage accuracy formula seems to be: 0,5*dex+1,25*int+1,00*luk+acc gear. ----------------------------------------------------------- Doesn't seem like lukless mages are going to be completely messed over by this new formula. Not sure about damage, though - trying to find detailed info on how the new magical damage formula works, and I've kinda got lost in information overload. I know m. attk counts for a lot more than it does now, but not sure of Int's precise role in the new formula, or whether luk also adds damage now. I'm staying lukless for now, with a view to possibly converting to low luk if need be... and I'm stocking up on Shoe Dex scrolls for the accuracy, lol. As for potential end-game weapon... I'll probably aim for the DDS... or the Laevateinn (which I assume is a durability equip) if we get the relevant PQ. Converting from lukless to reg luk in order to use a reverse/timeless wep (if and when we get ToT) doesn't really seem like a viable option to me. We don't know when we'll get this Big Bang revamp, so I think I'll stick with my ok-ish damage and carry on as I am rather than nerf myself for something that could happen anywhere between 3 months and 2 years hence. |

| @ two above: The magic damage formula is: 0.88 * [ 4 * INT + LUK ] * [ M.ATT / 100 ] In other words, LUK does add to damage, and m.att is the greatest factor in determining damage. |

| Mg.ATT works like ATT now so it is far superior to int. So those who will be using reverse weapons and ele staffs will have a higher mgatt and will be a lot better than the lukless counterparts...I'm going normal luk lol |

So uhh, at 164 normal luk becomes stronger. O_O IF you get an ele staff. |
