Noob youtube question

Ok. I don't know why the heck they changed the layout like three times. Now i'm stuck wondering "How do i change to 480p now ?" I want to change video to higher quality, how do i do this now? Before there was a button that said 360p, and if you wanted to make the quality higher, you put your mouse over it and choose 480p. Where is that button now

Ummm... I think it depends on the video itself. Older videos that are only 360 can only be played at that res. Higher res videos (newer) have the choice button. I just looked at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urNyg1ftMIU and it still gives me all three choices (360,480 and HD). Try some different videos..?

Found the video in question. At first it didn't show up, but when the video started, it appeared in the usual place.

I know my display comes up with at least two different layouts for their player bar at the bottom, but I always figured that was just someone trying to justify their paycheck and making changes in the site just for the sake of change. Maybe you've been banned from hi-res...?

Right.. that's exactly what I see. But the screenshot he posted of the same video doesn't have the resolution selection button on the player bar at the bottom...? So he can only play the low-res version.

I initially didn't see the resolution option and was about to conclude Pepsi was right. Then the video loaded and started...Pepsi's screenie doesn't have the loaded video. I'm just waiting for his reply to our comments.

o! You mean the resolution choice button doesn't appear until after it loads? I've never noticed that- they start playing so quickly the button seems to always be there for me, unless it's an older one.

I have slow home internet. This old computer takes some time to load the flash player too. This video also lacks the amazing vuvuzela button.
