Connecting a PS3 Controller to PC

So, I remember long ago when I still used BasilMarket, a thread here on how to connect game console controllers to your PC and play games with it. I never really took a good look at it and I can't find anything on Google, so can anyone help me out real quick? If the thread isn't around (and it's most likely not, I was looking for it...) then it'd be cool if I just got a link or maybe a non-BS YouTube tutorial. Thanks everyone!

try just plugging in the miniusb to usb from the controller and pc and then if your pc reconigessese it just get joy2key or something.

Just so you know OP, its not that easy, you will also need another PS3 controller driver IIRC. MotionInJoy is the name I believe.
