Graphix card overvoltage help

Hey guys, since some time my pc has making a loud noise like a week after it started my GPU card went dead, so i bought a new one and i still hear a loud noise when using the comp, so i checked my voltage with "everest ultimate edition" and the voltage is wayyy to high for the cpu and GPU, any1 know how to reduce the voltage cuz i cant modify the voltage in bios.... my specs are: CPU: AMD Phenom x4 9500 GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5500 Series (1gig) Mobo: Asus M2N68 (narra3) Chipset: nVIDIA nForce 6150SE-430 , amd K10 RAM : 3 gigs BIOS Type Award (02/21/08) Please help me out im desperate and i dont wanna burn out another GPU =( it sais my main voltage is +3.3 V so its wayyyyy to much

well it said "voltage Values +3.3V" and i remember it being like 1 b4 my pc made such a loud noise i just need a way to bring the voltage of the GPU down Edit: my CPU is 1.2v+2,5

What kind of "loud noise" are you talking about..? Something like klaxon horns, or a siren or what exactly..? "Loud noise" isn't particularly helpful. Also, if the supply voltages are too high, there's really no way to adjust them, most likely the power supply would need to be replaced. This sounds like something you should have a service center look at for you because it CAN result in things burning out- like your CPU chip and motherboard, not to mention the GPU.

Those are not the voltages that your GPU and CPU are getting. The +3.3V rail ( what you are seeing ) is simply another rail , it is NOT the amount of voltage your components are getting, as if they were, they wouldve fried long ago.

Yes- that was my first thought too... 3.3v is a NORMAL power supply voltage so the question is- what are you looking at, and do you know what you're seeing..?

I think the answer to your question is fairly obvious Bob, and honestly OP, you have no reason to worry about your GPUs voltage. It is self regulated and will undervolted when its not needed. [quote] Simford : how many watts is your power supply? [/quote] Why does this matter?
