I am sick of these asians (Im asian too)

Stereotypes. I was reading some of the comments left on facebook until i saw my friends status. "My cloths smells like eggrolls, Typical" I really hate those asians who make fun of themselves like last time i saw my friend commenting on some stuff and he goes like "No i am Asian, i only eat Dumprings and rice!" seriously? It's one of my biggest pet peeves, My friends think being asian is the best thing you could ever be. Like for instance this girl i knew She looks NOTHING like an asian so i asked her how are you asian? She answers "My mothers fathers brothers uncle was asian so that makes me asian" What the hell are you talking about lady. Did i miss something here? what point in being asian is so great? And then this pisses me off even more, "Oh hey dude are you related to jackie chan or jet lee, do you know kun fu? you remind me of Mr. Miagi from karate kid" are you serious dude? thing is i don't mind a few jokes now and then but when they take it way too far it just really pisses me off. So then get this my "asian friends" are having an Asian reunion..At this point i was just very ehh i really can't find a word for this right now. So i turn down the offer for going there (Its friends only btw) so the person who started it gets pissed and me for not going. And then i was browsing some pics on facebook and i see this picture of a market vendor that sells vegies etc.. on the street like in Chinatown. then my friend comments "My home (:" I really was bothered by that so i just let it go. That is my rant and sorry for spacing then like that i just had to separate stuff so you can read better i guess.. Sometimes i really hate being asian.. i just had to let this out. Thoughts?

Yeah I'm Asian too. That stuff does get annoying. It's one thing to be proud of your race, but to act like your race is better than the rest, it's just plain racism. I used to get really ticked off at that kind of stuff (I used to twitch at that kind of stuff, lol), but I've learned to just treat them as words with no meaning.

Laughing at ourselves is a good idea, I think its used to prove that racial slurs, discrimination etc has no power over us, somewhat nullifying the effects of these problems . Also having pride in your culture, race or looks and ultimately having pride in yourself is a good thing. Although as with everything in this world once past a certain degree has negative effects.

The eye thing, some Asians have bigger eyes compared to whites and others, even without surgery. It's just the structure of the bones around the eyes (orbital areas), along with some other features in the eyelids which make it appear smaller and more slanted.

Dude that's not that bad. Filipinos and Koreans are the most annoying group of people I ever met. They are super racist. Filipinos don't know how to shut the f*** up. Korean girls scream every 2 seconds because of some "hot guy". Filipino girls are super trashy. All the men think they are the most gangster and coolest guys around just because they beat a guy 10:1. No racism intended. I'm just saying this is what I observed from all the Asians I know.

The no racism intended part is a poor disclaimer if anything; all it functions as is a temporary flame shield.
