| Got permission to get a new video card. Not going over $200. I'm in China for the moment, and they have a HUGE pc kingdom. All the known brands are there. They got them Nvidia, ATI, Zotac, MSI, ASUS, EVGA. I currently have a Nvidia GT 240 1GB DDR3 . Note DDR3. Not nearly as good as the DDR5 versions. My budget is $200 or lower, i want a video card that will give me a noticable performance boost with good bang for my buck. Currently considering : Nvidia 8800GTX Nvidia GTS 260 or 250 Ati Radeon 5770. Nearing towards 5770.. any other choices? |

| 5770 is a no brainer. Don't know why you would buy an old card too. |

| Speak of the devil xD And wow...the GDDR3 version? Ouch O_o And what is up with your list? 8800GTX? A 3.5 years ago it was state of the art. Its not bad even now but there are better options GTS 250 and GTX 260? Well the GTS 250 cant beat the GTX 260...and whats with you and old cards? Theres a slew of newer Radeons out and even Nvidia is trying to come out with new stuff and youre still looking at stuff thats like 2 years old? Any particular reason? My suggestion; get a card which can fit the following description ().
ThePepsi : Last time i checked, two $200 gpus in crossfire or SLI > 5870 by a long shot.
|

| I mean the 8800GT or 9800GT, sorry I can't afford two cards in crossfire at the moment :[ 9800GT is still dominating the $100 market, right? |

| 8800GTX is an old card. It's from late 2007, and yes, it can run Crysis, but won't run high-demanding DX 10 / DX 11 games. I think you should get the 5770, better yet a 5830 <--- much cheaper than the 5850 and a little better than the 5770. |

| I'd get the HD 5770. Fastest out of those listed, and DX11. |
find the right deals and you could get a 5670 for about 80, or a 5750 for $110-120. but if you have the budget you may as well get a 5770 |
