transfer maplestory file to another comp?

I just got a new computer. Is there any way I can transfer the MS file to the other computer? or do I have to redownload the whole thing? Thanks

I think you need to download, or maybe if external hardrives can do this then you can plug up the external hardrive to that computer, then let the info go in, take it out, plug it into the other computer, and open it up. I'm not sure if this will work, but if you don't have external hardrive don't even bother, just download on the other computer. If you have any problems downloading on the other computer just PM me

Yes- you can EASILY copy the C:/Nexon folder from your old computer to the new one. Use a USB flash drive or external hard drive (or network the two computers together if you know how to do that) and just copy the entire folder. Then on the new computer, just copy the folder back to the C: drive. You WILL have to create a new desktop icon on the new computer if you want to just click on the icon to play. Open Windows Explorer and then open the C:/Nexon/Maplestory folder and either use "Maplestory.exe" (to log in from the web site), or "GameLauncher.exe" (to log in the "old way"). RIGHT-Click on whichever of the two you decide to use, then select "Send To..." and "Desktop". That will make a new icon on your new computer's desktop for MapleStory. (Oh- and before you do any copying, open the C:/Nexon/Maplestory folder on the old computer and check to be sure there's only ONE folder inside, the "hshield" folder. ANY OTHER folders should be deleted before you copy anything. Any folders with names like "aegyhjwx$$" are just left-over failed patches that didn't get properly cleaned up after patching failed. Those folders are HUGE and just waste a lot of disk space. No point in copying them, and no point in having them on the computer anyway. The C:/Nexon/Maplestory folder should be about 1.9GB.)
