What is up with the mem & cpu usage of windowed maple?

 | Does anyone else have problems with this? I mean seriously. In windowed mode it hogs around 50-60% of my cpu and about 80% of my memory. What the hell, it's a low-res 2d platform game. I've even BSOD:ed a few times from my memory + page file being overloaded while only running minimal background processes + maplestory. - 3.2ghz x2 Amd CPU - 4gb ddr2 memory (with decent clocks) - W7 Ultimate as OS Both my cpu and memory have been just recently tested and are fully functioning and as I already mentioned I don't have issues with any other program. When ms is in fullscreen the mem & cpu drop substantially. |

| well... A: is your computer crap... B: did you try checking in task manager, under processes, and then sort by CPU use, to see just how much maplestory is taking, and how much is other things? maybe its something interacting adversely with maplestory's port, or such... the processes tab on task manager gives much better information that your task bar... |

| exactly why do you say his computer is bad? It is perfectly fine. Maple really is a resource whore. it sucks it up. It is my personal opinion, and it has been verified a number of times, that the maple program itself is pretty badly written. But Nexon being Nexon couldn't care less, as long as it doesnt actually cause problems. |

 | Maplestory is a dynamic game, when things get intensive onscreen it can really use up all you got to process that. I suggest for maple, dual booting for windows XP or OS downgrade |

I'm pretty sure my OP insinuated doing those things ;p I didn't just make up those %ges xD @ The rest, I'm pretty sure he meant "A" as a question and that he just forgot the question mark ;d I just find it insane that an old 2d scroller hogs more mem and cpu than modern day fpses on full res. I can render cpu intense effects in photoshop with a maxed out graphics cs:s running in the background together with firefox without the slightest problems but I can't run ms in windowed alone. I find that quite hilariously annoying >< |
