I believe mages SHOULD get a cool down

If the character was made AFTER the release of 4th job. I've been playing before 3rd job was released, and I loved my mage for the skills. They they released 3rd job, which was just a more powerful version of 2nd job. Then fourth job came out, and if you weren't 120 yet, it gave you inspiration to get a summon and an ultimate. If you made it to 4th job, you were rewarded for your strenuous efforts due to lack of great training spots that we have today. But when 4th job was released, and everyone saw Meteor and Blizzard and Genesis, and was like, ooooh! shiny! *makes that class, then hires somebody to leech me to a point where I can do that too.*

i actually kinda sorta agree with you. I made this char after 4th but my 1st mage was made wayyy b4. I shared it with my sis's boyfriend and we(mostly he) got it to 120.

When i made my i/l i wasn't even aware they have such a skill, i made it for IS. To be honest i don't even care if they take blizzard completely, i prefer CL+ifrit+ID at ToT/Himes (although it's being taking away as well ).

i had to remake my mage after they relesed 4th job i think due to mesing up my stats even tho iv been playing sence year one. i might have started it before but i made 3 l.i before i got it right. so ya. i made my l/i for thunder spear lol but they are giving a resonable replacement with cl and the new exp system. but imo i still dont like the cooldown on bliz.

I made my I/L for Thunderbolt. 8D I don't mind the cooldown thing so much anymore because it looks like we're being properly compensated now.

we did improve but seing as that dpm chart dident count crits and had wepon issues we have to w8 or make a acruate one.
