"Appcrash" when starting maplestory

Ok. I haven't played maplestory for a while now, I think Christmas was the last time I logged in. So the story goes: I download the maplestory downloader from the nexon website, which then downloads maplestory Version .87 for me. It finishes, and I proceed to install it. Installation seems to go fine and dandy. The installation finishes and I run maplestory from the website. It launches, and I get the warning message that windows always gives me when I start a program: "User Account Control A Program needs your permission to continue If you started this program, continue Global Maplestory NEXON Corporation" I verify that I launched the program myself, and then this error message pops up: "Maplestory has stopped working Windows can check online for a solution to the problem" This has happened to me in the past, when I has updated maplestory. I just forgot how to fix it. Maybe something to do with User Account control? I run Windows Vista service Pack 2, 32 bit. Thankyou in advance for the solution.

something is stopping maplestory from running (as in a driveer or program)

That happened to my laptop too. Surprisingly it fixed itself somehow...

Do you have any tips on maybe which program? I have AVG running, as well as windows defender? If not, then any tips on how to find out?

uh try turning avg off and run as admin

I restarted my computer. Turned AVG off, then ran it as an admin. Still nothing. Thanks anyway, because I can remember having something to do with AVG to make it run.

I have the same problem! It worked perfectly fine yesterday..but when I hit 'start game' today it didnt work o.o Anyone got suggestions? Ive tried all the tips above

k so i had this when the v86-87 screw up i had downgraded to v85, when i download the auto patcher i got that message everytime. how i fixed it, when to the nexon folder did a restore to v86 then did the manual patcher to 87. So I am guessing ur thing is something relate to the version u had and the auto patcher.

it happened to me to and i have the same system as you but it's an HP Pavilion and i know maple doesn't work on HP Pavilion's
