Who remembers Metal Slug?

IMO, it was a dam fun game. You use overpowered weapons to kill all type of armys. My favorite weapon is the Heavy Machine Gun. I remember spending many quarters at the arcade, but now that i have the PSP game "Metal Slug Anthology", they give me 20 credits each time i play :D. And the best is that includes Metal Slug 1,2,X,3,4,5 & 6. Who remembers this awesome game?

i used to have almost all the old ones i beat them so many times i don't even remember(like the one with the aliens the most) they need to make a direct ACTUAL port for the iphone :<

I do... but in all honesty, I preferred Gunstar Heroes =p Here's a little history lesson about the creators of Gunstar Heroes. They were originally a part of Konami and were the people behind another very big 2D multiplayer shooter series, Contra. After they made Contra 3 on the SNES, the team had an idea of making combination weapons and some more intuitive controls. Konami, however, did not allow them the freedom to make another Contra with their own design. In frusteration, the entire team quit and decided that they could do it on their own. They created their own company and their first game, which had all the ideas they wanted in their Contra game (and more) was created. That game was Gunstar Heroes. This company is still alive and kicking today - Treasure.

Have the cd rom for it.. I was playing on my computer before. I also have it for the DS: it's in Japanese though. Lucky I can read Japanese~
