http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/alienware-m11x?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&ST=alienware%20m11x%20(phrase)&dgc=ST&cid=52212&lid=1344047&acd=64011,8,0,93322113,765600448,1277833498,,20805148,5247990430 I've been thinking of purchasing this bad boy as my gaming laptop, although 11 inches seem's a lil, ey to me. I don't want a desktop, I'm a casual gamer as well so I'm not looking into crysis or MW. However my cousin wants me to join TF2, maybe some L4D. My current laptop (forgot spec's) is 15 inch and evidently has a dye wihthin the graphics card that easily overheats. So I'm looking for a laptop solely for gaming. Now the reason I picked this one out is its 1 grand and it seems to be the best small laptop in terms of overall standard on the market. I am a little concerned of overheating though, but it's 2.5 inches thick for that. Good purchase or better reccomendations? I just want to support my casual gaming, but I don't want to settle for something less to save a buck, I have 1500$ budgeted and want to get the most out of it.

And saying asus with no model type is kind of unhelpful lol. Okay I take all that back, asus is flippin amazing. Guess I'm saving up another 3 months LOL.

[/quote] 11inch screen (granted television cability) and also has somewhat of a fan problem, or one of the reported ones. The main reason I want to get a new lappy is because of the overheating problem. This bad boy has black hawk cooling.

It's kind of a toss up because you're pretty much jamming all these parts together that are standard on a 15 inch comp. I figured common sense would say it be a volcano lol.

LOL11X? Hell to the no. Asus and MSI both make great laptops and XoticPC is a good site to order from.

azn011Gaming on such a small laptop is not recommended. Gaming is typically best on a desktop, (due to price, practicality, proper cooling, comfort level, ergonomics, and many other reasons) If you MUST buy a gaming laptop, it is recommended to get one with a larger monitor. Trust me, you don't want to be gaming with an 11' screen. Running games such as TF2 and L4D doesn't require a very powerful computer. A laptop with a mid-level dedicated graphics would be sufficient.

M11x is not worth it in my opinion. It's an overpriced, "fancy-badged" piece of junk. It's got a small CPU, decent graphics, and that thing is TINY! Want an Alienware notebook that you can carry around? M15x.
