| Hi, I just put together my first rig and expected it to be able to play Crysis Warhead at about 40-50 fps on all enthusiast 2xAA. I think this is a pretty reasonable goal for what I have put together, but I will generally have 20-30 fps. I have no idea why this is because my equipment seems to be perfectly capable of running it very well. I dont understand what is holding it back and it feels like im missing something completely. I just installed the latest GPU drivers and they didnt help either. Why could this be happening? My Rig: Cooler Master 932 HAF case ASUS P6T Motherboard Intel i7 930 @ 2.80 Ghz (Stock, No OC) EVGA GTX 480 SC @ ~1500mb 6gb Corsair Dominator DDR3 RAM Seagate 1.5TB HDD 7200 RPM SATA Thank you for your help |

| Before using Crysis to test your system, I'd suggest running 3D Mark Vantage. Looking at the GPU score only, yours should be around the 17k-19.5k ish range. If that works out, then it is probably something to do with Crysis I also recommend checking is if your Crysis Warhead is updated to it's latest version. On my copy of Crysis, updating from 1.0 to 1.2 gave me a 40% increase in FPS, so I suggest using the latest patch. You should also check the speed of your PCI slot. Sometimes things happen and a card in a 16x slot is actually running at 4x which is a big performance hit. Check this by downloading GPU-Z and looking at the Bus Interface box. |

| Depends on what you have certain settings running at. Some GFX cards don't handle HDR lighting and water textures very well, and I know all Crysis games heavily stress this. Also, Anti Aliasing DESTROYS your FPS when it comes to the Crytek Engine. 20-30 FPS is godly playing Crysis on high.. I hope you know.. Crysis running at 40-50 requires your i7 to be overclocked and running SLi (or Crossfire, respectively). There is just no way around it my friend. |

| Okay so apparently these are my 3D Mark Vantage Scores: P22093 3DMarks CPU 50271 GFX 18615 Now would this mean that the problem would most likely be with Crysis itself? Thank you for all the help. |

| You can try a little overclocking, but Crysis running maxed WITH AA at 20-30fps is really nothing to complain about. |

Some other things you might wanna try is to download the 'Crysis Warhead Benchmark Tool' and do a few runs with that. We don't know your resolution so you can either post the results (fps) in here or do a google check of crysis warhead benchmark gtx 480 to see if it matches your results |

In fact this rig is kinda weak for just Crysis warhead which was a bad game IMO. Lets hope Crysis 2 looks better (already confirmed to have lower requirements) and plays better than warhead and vanilla Crysis |
