I don't know what to do, i love her, i mean i have been with her for more than two years now. We first started dating in highschool and we have gone through almost everything now we are both in college but lately she has become dependant. She relires on me for EVERYTHING I don't want to hurt her, but now it is hurting me, i have become stressed my grades have lowered and I am always cranky and every second of free time I get i use it to sleep and escape from reality, to stop thinking, because of how i am right now, I can't deal wih my thoughts... please help, what should i do?

I've never understood what was so hard about dumping a freeloading girl. Maybe it's just me. Talk to her. If she complains, dump her. Going to college and depending on a man are two totally opposite ideas. Tell her to work for her stuff.

Well considering the state in which you describe your gf, if you take any of the "Ask her to give you space" advice from the above posters, she will take it personally and get hurt. So therefore you're in a situation where you can choose to hurt yourself or your gf.

You can talk to her one-on-one and tell her that her being this dependent is really hurting your life in _ ways, or you can not tell her the reason at all and bluntly say "WE NEED A BREAK WIMIN," and proceed to slap her in the face, buy a slice of banana cream pie from the cafeteria and throw it in her face.

[/quote] Personally, I'd go with the second option ;p Seriously though, do not tell her you need your space. Be very careful, just tell her you noticed she seemed to be under a lot of presuer lately. Let her unload, and if she can't, just tell her you are going to give her some room to de-stress. Make it clear that you are doing it for her . They always understand if you put it in the right light...
